Sauder Palladia 2-Drawer Lateral File Cabinet, Vintage Oak Finish

The file cabinet arrived quickly. It was very easy to assemble and a very substantial piece of furniture. The filing system can easily be used for legal or standard sizes. There is a safety mechanism that only allows one drawer to be opened at a time. This filing cabinet is very good quality and nice looking. I am extremely happy that I chose this one.

I've had "put it together" file cabinets... they're cheap and they don't last long. There is so much wood in this product that it took two people to carry it. The side walls are two layers thick. The drawers are sturdy and have heavier duty rails than most cabinets. And when completed, it looks better than the picture. It takes a good hour or two to put it together, but you'll understand why when it's completed. It's very solid... so I bought two!

Sauder is a great company with good customer service. This furniture is good quality for the price. It took a while to put it together and we damaged a piece of furniture when putting it together. We called Sauder and they mailed the piece within a couple of days - no questions asked. I would recommend Sauder furniture.

This Lateral File Cabinet is awesome. Talk about rich looking ad the best part it is affordable! The assembly is very easy and the outcome is fantastic. The smooth glide of the drawers is unbelievable, I had seen other cabinets that were very hard to pull out let alone push back in, this one is a touch with your fingers. This product has surpassed my expectations!

I would have given 5 stars if not for one oversight. A few months ago I bought the matching desk. I liked it so much that I bought the matching lateral file cabinet. While assembling the file cabinet, I realized that the knobs on the drawers of the file cabinet were bright silver colored while the handles on the desk were oil rubbed bronze. I now have to purchase new knobs so they match the handles on the supposed matching desk which is going to cost me another $30.00. Great file cabinet but the silver knobs with the select cherry finish is an epic fail.

Lot's of pieces and fairly heavy, it does take some time to put together, at least for an amateur. However, in it's price range it seems well made. For the budget minded who want a traditional look, this is a good choice. Shipping was very fast. It took about 2-3 hours to assemble.

The piece looks good but is made from manufactured wood so if it gets scratched or nicked it will show. Assembly isn't hard but there are lots of steps.

Nice filing cabinet and it was easy to put together. The only thing I would change is the railing that holds files moves around.

Lateral file. I may have received a previously returned item. I immediately found two major pieces damaged and requested replacement. That was easy to request and I received the replacement parts promptly. When I tried to put it together, I found another damaged piece, front and center on the top. I am ordering that piece today. And, for the money, Sauder could do a better job of having this item partially assembled. Some instructions are less than clear/confusing.

Don't do it, it's heavy-takes forever to assemble-and is cheap. Not worth the money unless you consider the cost of labor that I put in they should be paying Me.
