Sea-Dog 318003 Galvanized Folding Grapnel Anchor - 3.5 lbs.

This is a good, basic 3.5lb Grapnel style anchor. Perfect for Kayaks or Canoes in relatively calm weather. This anchor could hold a Kayak in stronger wind and tide conditions. Canoes are bigger and have way more surface area and weight - I would step up to a larger anchor for a Canoe. This 3.5lb is decent for the price - it is small and perfect for tucking into the gear stowage area of a Kayak. Be sure to buy a sturdy anchor line with a strong tensile rating - especially if you live in a place with rocky bottoms.

This picture is misleading. It is offering the whole kit, however, it ONLY offers the anchor. The anchor is not even red in color, is a regular galvanized color one. I had to wait for this item for 2 days after the site tracking stated it was already delivered to the store because nobody could find it. They asked me to come back twice. First time item was "not received yet" when the site said it was at the store. Second time the site stated i had already "picked up". A manager, who was REALLY nice, was able to find the anchor and agreed that the picture was VERY misleading. He refunded me the cost of this and gave me the package in the picture for the same price [item on the shelf at store]. Manager's service was great! Also the last Walmart Staff person who got the manager involved. She was going above and beyond by understanding the item was supposed to be already in the store and it should not have been marked at (past due - as her list stated) Online experience was misleading and terrible! Makes me to not want to buy any item from online again. I prefer to go to the store and actually see what i am buying.

If your expecting to get what's in the picture you would be wrong. I ordered this thinking I was getting a red anchor, rope with buoy and a storage bag. What I got was a 3Lb silver anchor and nothing more. The anchor works fine but the picture is very misleading. You will have to buy the rope, buoy and bag separately.

Not the anchor in the picture. Ordered twice got a plain gavanized anchor, no rooe, no bag, no buoy.

The picture here and the actual product are totally different. Picture shows buoy, bag and rope. When you receive it is just a silver anchor

I have to buy extra things. Like the rope, hook. Look ate the picture. I think I going have these and have a crude anchor only and without paint

This picture is VERY MISLEADING!!! I thought I was ordering the whole kit for my husband. It came in and is nothing but the actual anchor and it's not even the color shown. I could have gotten this plain anchor much cheaper. It will be returned tomorrow!!!!
