I haven't used this long enough to give a proper review on durability, but that said, I do love this vacuum. I bought it because of its good Consumer Reports rating. It is easy to navigate and the parts were easy to put together. An added extra I like is the ability to empty the canister from both ends to really get it clean. I particularly love the removal canister to use on stairs or upholstery. Great value.
My son actually thought that it was a carpet shampooer and used it to suck up the rainwater out of his car 2 days after I bought it before I never had a chance to use it. The entire dirt cup was filled with water and then my 2-year-old turned it on like four times before I realized it was even filled up with water, as my daughter went to get it off the porch so we could test the new vacuum 🫠🤷🏼♀️🤯 I immediately unplugged it took everything apart as far as the dirt been the filters and write it out in front of an industrial fan and everything still works, phenomenally!! 10 out of 10 recommend now I really want to get the one that actually sucks up water and mops but is also a vacuum.
I LOVE this vacuum! I've been a fan of shark products for a few years now, and finally had to replace my old vacuum. I have 3 young kids, 2 cats and a Pomeranian/Husky mix, and this vacuum picks up EVERYTHING. I also got it on sale for $120, which is a steal in my opinion.
everytime i order something big. tv, shed. there are always holes in product box . i've had to return items that were damaged because of warehouse abuse.
I thought it was the one that I can vacuum under couches and beds, but the description was misleading. The dustbin is the thing that detaches to do stairs and at that point you're only saving 2lbs max from the rest of the vacuum. Had I know I would've bought the one I wanted for the same price. The vacuum itself lives up to the shark name and works as well as expected though, carpets are clean with two dogs and 3 children.
It's a great vacuum EXCEPT that it is too heavy to push while it is swiveling. Your shoulder has to steer it and support the weight of tilting part of vacuum, even if you are pushing it straight. My shoulder %26 arm still hurt a few days after using it. It will probably have to go back unless there is a way to prevent top from swiveling
sale and a great deal. I put it together and made a few passes on various area rugs. felt like the cheapest plastic you could find. however the suction is very very strong. I don't feel it is a very durable product. I have a dog and I vacuum almost every single day so I need a well-built machine that is durable and long-lasting. if you're looking for something cheap that may last a couple of years go for it
I thought I was buying this Shark vacuum from Walmart directly turns out it was from a third-party seller, which they don't make obvious at checkout. After only the third use, the vacuum started smoking and literally caught fire in my home. This was terrifying and could've easily led to a serious accident. I immediately contacted Walmart support, and they promised an instant refund so I could buy a replacement. That was a lie. I had to call at least five separate times, get transferred repeatedly, and still haven't received the refund as of today. Each rep said something different, and no one followed through. I feel completely tricked and jerked around by Walmart. Not only was the product faulty and dangerous, but the lack of accountability and delayed refund process is unacceptable. If you're buying a vacuum or anything important double-check if it's sold by Walmart or a third-party. I'll never trust their process again.
i have always bought shark vacuums. this one has already broke because of plastic pieces in the handle you can use for high places or corners etc. so in lessvthan a year I have wasted my money simply disappointed in this product.
I have had this for 2 weeks and it already stopped working!! I am not hard on my vacuum cleaners. I have all bamboo floors with 3 carpeted bedrooms. I have a clean house, this is used for bare everyday maintenance vacuuming. Back story-- this is (embarrassingly) my 5th Shark vacuum. I have spent hundreds- thousands- on these stupid vacuums. I know it's my fault. They work wonderfully right out of the box but break within a year and Shark makes it impossible to buy replacement parts. After spending $400-$500 each on my last 3, I bought this one for around $100 and told myself "last time." Well, $100 vacuum clearly only gets you less than a month's use nowadays. I am seething...I officially hate Shark. No more. After doing some research, I've found this happens ALL the time and I'm not alone. if we'd stop buying their crap products, maybe they'd change. They've continously just gotten worse and worse!
