This works excellent. Everyone who waterbath can should own two of these. it can be place in your pocket to can everywhere you go. i can just two jars in a pot. sometimes you don't want to can a big batch. bit two can be put together to do a big. You can can at friend and relatives with just their pot an one jar.

Works great on bottom in place of wire wrack would work out great for in-between two layers of jars

silicone canning rack - this is a great idea. will be very easy to store. not sure if i should have gotten 2....it fits my 12 qt stock pot and was perfect until it folded all back up into a little ball and I had to use a couple spoons to spread it out before I could put the jars in.

Tried the silicone mason jar rack and honestly, I can't recommend it. It curls up in the pot while boiling, which makes it super annoying to use. If you're into canning, I'd go with something sturdier!

I bought this because my Walmart does not carry metal racks for water bath canning and I didn't have time to wait for one to ship. First off I had to buy FOUR of them to fit my pot. Second the thing floats. It's almost impossible to set a jar on it and hold it down at the same time. Directions say turn off the burner wait for it to sink to the bottom then put your jars on it. That kind of defeats the purpose of boiling the water if I have to turn off the burner and wait for it to stop bubbling before this thing will sink so I can put my jar on it. Burnt two of my fingers but I got my pie filling canned! I have already ordered a wire rack from Amazon!

As several others have stated, with boiling water the insert rises to the top and starts spinning like a water wheel in the pot. I was able to get it to work (for sanitizing only) by loading it up in cool water and then starting the process. As jars were finished, I would replace one jar at a time. Perhaps if used in conjunction with a wire rack (which would need to remain in the pot the entire time) it would function better. Not the fix I was hoping for.

This thing rolls up in the pan and does not work when the boiling water is rolling and it won't stay flat in the pan. Epic failure in design

The darned thing floats in the boiling water, making it impossible to place canning jars in the pot.
