This is the best method I have found so far for a nasal rinse. I have a deviated septum and a regular neti pot doesn't work for me. The gentle positive pressure created by squeezing the bottle is enough to push the rinse through my nasal passages. It's much more convenient than having to heat or boil water and mix your own saline solution. The reviewer here who says that it leaks is probably squeezing too hard. A gentle squeeze is all that's needed; leaning forward a bit also helps to pull the solution through via gravity. It's also important to make sure that the black rubber ring is properly seated around the filter, the filter section is screwed all the way down, and the white nozzle is pushed all the way in. You can disassemble all the parts for cleaning. This is an EXCELLENT product and has made all the difference for me; I can breathe again!
I have chronic sinusitis and was told by my doctor that I must start to wash my nasal passage. A regular neti pot made me feel like I was drowning, but this squeeze bottle is a game changer! Another reviewer stated that the bottke leaks - this is not my experience. If the bottle leaks its because of too much squeeze pressure. All is needed is a constant, gentle squeeze. Excellent product!
Works amazingly well and no need to worry about any foreign bodies going through the filter. Makes finding the water temperature easier via the facet.
I purchased the same product under Walgreens brand. Was really frustrated with leaking and then learned from other users there's a tiny little silicone valve loose in the box that needs to be inserted into the hole in the bottle, then it works great. So convenient not to have to buy distilled water and to be able to use warm water right out of the tap. Good for 800 uses or 6-months, whichever comes first! 4-stars only because of poor instructions re: the little valve. I'm sure a lot of people give up and throw it out.
bottle will not seal when screwed on, water gushes out of top of bottle instead of flowing through nasal spout....
I am an experienced neti pot user, decided to try this to avoid having to boil the water or purchase distilled. It doesn't work at all. Carefully followed the directions to prepare the filter by emptying 3 bottles of water through the filter system first, but the bottle leaks so much at the connection to the cap that there is hardly any flow out the nozzle. Back to the neti pot for me!
