I purchased the Stanley Fat Max Saw upon the recommendation of my woodworking mentor. After reading the reviews online, and receiving a tutorial on the proper way to use this saw, I realized that I don't need a power tool for every single wood cut I make. The Stanley Fat Max Saw has a comfortable grip in my hand and it's compact enough to fit in my toolbox. The handle is ergonomically designed but I wish they didn't have the molded yellow plastic partially concealing the lovely wooden handle. This saw does a phenomenal job making clean cross cuts and shorter rip cuts. “A sharp blade is a safe blade”! My new Stanley Fat Max Saw has triple-ground hardened off-set teeth, making wood cuts easy, clean, and smooth. I do recommend clamping down your material until you get used to the action of the saw blade. It's a great tool for cutting wood at a reasonable price.
This handsaw is the perfect saw to have in your shop or in your car trunk. It arrived very sharp and unused. I prefer the wooden handle because it will last longer than any plastic handle on a saw. This brand and size will be the only saw I ever buy if another one is needed. The last one I had of this brand and size was about 25 years old when I retired it.
This is a great little saw for trimming hardwood in tight locations. Great grip handle and sturdy blade very ridged. Ultra sharp, it is a great buy!
Amazing product as expected from a tried and true Stanley fan. The Grip design led to a nonslip, comfortable performance of the song.
COMFY HANDLE, SHARP BLADE, CUTS LIKE A DREAM
