STANLEY STHT77406 Stud Sensor 200

Well after reading the reviews of the other stud finders, This was one most people were happy with. And now, I am one of them happy consumers also. It even worked on a stucco ceiling.

Nice stud finder for the price. The display points in the direction of the stud and tells you when you hit the center of the stud. It also alerts you of any electrical in the wall. There are some false alerts, you may need to get several reading. I would recommend this product.

i live in a newer home and have a hard time finding interior studs with the cheaper stud finders. i have tried all of Stanley's lower models only to find out they miss there mark often. even in an area where i know for a fact there is a stud present. However this model by far has done me the most good with relocating TV's and shelving on the wall. the only draw back is the non-included battery,(standard 9-volt) and the holes made from using the previous finder. Overall a great purchase

I purchased the stud finder to help me install my TV wall mount. I had a hard time finding a stud unless I pointed it at myself! (I thank you!) But seriously, it didnt work that well, the buttons are hard to press and hold, and it times out very fast if you are trying to mark a large wall!! I wouldnt buy it again, but for a quick and cheap stud finder, it will do.

I would not recommend this product to anyone, isn't accurate whatsoever, but a quality one instead and save headache and time

Didn't work more than half the time

Wanted to shop local, I purchased from a mom and pop shop nearby. This was way more expensive than buying online, and maybe the dust coating on it at the shop should have alerted me to how horrible it is. Says everything is an electrical or a stud does not work. Thankfully I saw another review someone posted about holding it away from the wall for a more accurate reading. If I hadn't seen that, this tool would be worthless in my life. Now I use it off the wall, and hope and pray I don't drill into an electrical. I have so many holes to fill in all my walls from the bad readings given to me by this defective product.

haven't found a stud yet. I have had it for about a year and it didn't work the first time I used it. I needed it again today and gave it another shot with a fresh battery and still no luck. Don't waste your money !

If I could give this a half star, that would still be too much. Every place I put it on the wall, I constantly get the AC warning. When I place it in a different spot, if it appears to be working properly it might indicate the stud center. Moving to a spot directly below that one, it doesn't register a stud. I've checked on a one sided wall and it doesn't indicate a stud when I'm over one and it should be. Disappointing, useless, unreliable piece of junk.
