Starfrit Mightican 3-in-1 Electric Can Opener

I am very happy with this can opener. Just purchased a week ago. I have had bad luck with a few other brands. It looks like this will last for awhile.

Very easy to use and store due to compact size. Mess free with a removable lever for easy cleaning. I like the knife/scissor sharpener too. I do feel that the hole for the cord could be a bit larger as it is a bit of a struggle to get the cord back in. Overall a great product and well-priced. I should have bought one a long time ago due to arthritis.

Just bought this can opener yesterday and so far I love it! It's stylish and opens cans smoothly and efficiently. Some reviews state that the magnet doesn't hold a heavy can without having to hold it. Well, I have never had an electric can opener that will 💯 hold up a heavy can without some assistance so I'm okay with it and I still think it's an awesome and necessary kitchen tool. I highly recommend.

it is not the first time using it. i have problem with open can by hand but it is so easy with this can opener. love it

I bought this electric can opener (on Amazon) recently. The more I use it, the more I like it. The only negatives are that it doesn't open the bigger/heavier cans and the lever is a bit finicky to replace, after cleaning, for someone with dexterity problems. I also wish it had an adjustable holder for the bottom of the can, since the magnet only holds the lid.

I mostly used it for opening tuna cans, for which it was easy to use. I can't comment on its effectiveness in opening bigger cans. The power cord is too short though. Then, after a year, it broke all of a sudden. The top part came off. I used it probably once or twice a month. So, if something breaks apart after such mild usage, I won't recommend buying it.

I bought this Starfrit electric can opener because my manual Starfrit can opener couldn't open the Clover Leaf Sockeye Salmon cans anymore. I went electric because I'm losing my hand strength and dexterity in my hands. First time I used it for a small can of soup. It would cut for about an inch and the can would fall off. Reposition it and it cuts for about an inch again and the can would fall off. Did this dance numerous times till a full rotation finally opened the can. The second time I tried to use it for a can of cut yellow beans. The can opener would not even hold the can in place at all and it kept falling off. So it didn't cut anything. Packed it up and returned it for a refund. Ended up buying another brand that had really high reviews that cuts from the side instead of from the top. The other one worked easily from day one without any problems. Although the better one ended up costing 3.5x the price of the Starfrit one.
