This is the best home phone provider that I have ever come across. The provider that is offered through Walmart is the most affordable plan for a low income family to have with unlimited calling and all the features. Other providers just don't seem to care that most families on a budget can not afford the high prices they are offering and the bill just keeps getting higher. I am very happy to have found this phone service and can keep my service on and uninterrupted every month because the cost is so low.

It's a home phone, LAND LINE, replacement vs. the phone company home landline. It still acts as a land line, but has a CELL phone number. PROS - NO outrageous taxes ( the LANDLINE Telephone company phone was insane with global taxes, state taxes, forced bribery charges, Government support taxes, social taxes, environmental taxes, fake warming taxes, and MORE), this is a monthly phone access, after you buy the phone for it. With the phone and this card it was still cheaper than one month BILL of the telephone. CONS - even if you tell others it is a LANDLINE people still try to text it, as if you are lying? StraighTalk cell phones DO NOT work well, but this works very well!

Great price and an easy checkout process with plenty of payment options. The EMAIL DELIVERY feature was a key factor when I made my online purchase, as I was snowed in at my home and needed this particular plan in order to start my home telephone service. Within an hour of my online purchase I received a text message and an email informing me that my minutes card had been 'delivered'. I had a small issue with trying to retrieve the pin code that is necessary to activate the card - there were no instructions in the email and no link to follow to the merchant - but all ended well and I was able to find the pin code. I will be purchasing this minutes card on a regular basis and I will continue to do so through walmart.com.

the first time I ordered the card online it went into the spam folder, so be sure to add the address to your contacts. since then it takes less than 5 minutes to get your monthly calling card electronically. SIMPLE no going to the store and no shipping costs

I bought this as a potential replacement for my Vonage service. It's so expensive (feature rich however) so I thought I would give this a whirl. It seemed to work but a turn off for me is that unlike Vonage, it's 911 service isn't prepopulated so that a dispatcher will know your location. This unit however is impressive. It has a huge antenna and gets a good signal. It also has what reminds me of the type of rechargeable battery in a cordless phone. Therefore, if the power goes out, and you have a phone that doesn't require electricity, you'd still be able to make a call. I'm also thinking about checking out Walmart's Basic Talk Service.

With this system you can not send/receive FAX's or have a home alarm system. After two weeks, 10 full working days, my old land line number still has NOT been ported over. The Straight Talk Home advertisement says you CAN port over your old number, but it doesn't say WHEN. If I had not given up my wired bell system service, I would go back and forget this system. Customer service is from the other side of the planet and their English is very poor. The connection TO customer service is very poor as well. When you call the customer service number listed on ST's web site for Home phones, you get the Cell phone people who have to transfer you over to the Home phone people. Bottom line; I'd go back if I could.

We bought the straight talk home phone service to save money. Well........first it sometimes works and sometimes it does not. You have to keep entering the code to get it to work. It fades in and out and just not worth the trouble if not knowing your phone service is going to work. Don't spend the money.

The product is fine, my problem is with the online service that I had very unclear directions it said I would have my product emailed to me in hours that I ordered but I waited a week I'm not very happy about that at all if I knew that I would of just went and bought it in store

There are a lot of dropped calls. I live in a rural area so I'm unable to even talk on the phone unless I'm near the station. Most calls don't come through and there is a lot of interference once i begin to talk on the phone. Now on the other hand my cousin has the same phone system but lives in the city limits and has no problem with calls.

I USED TO PURCHASE PHYSICAL STRAIGHT TALK $15 HOME PHONE UNLIMITED 30-DAY CARDS QUITE OFTEN. BUT I HAD A OCCASION WHEN I PURCHASED IT FROM WALMART WITH IT NO BEING SCANNED . I CALLED TRACFONE, THEY TOLD ME GO BACK TO WALMART. FINALLY WALMART HAD TO RESCAN IT AGAIN FOR IT TO WORK. THIS TIME I ORDERED A PHYSICAL STRAIGHT TALK $15 HOME PHONE UNLIMITED 30 DAY CARD ONLINE AND I RECEIVED IT IN THE MAIL.I PULL THE LABEL THAT COVERED THE PIN NUMBER, AND COULDN'T READ ALL THE NUMBERS. THE FIRST THREE WAS HARD TO READ. I CALL STRAIGHT TALK AND THEY TOLD ME TO GO THE WALMART STORE TO SCAN THE PHONE. I DROVE TO WALMART AND THEY COULDN'T SCAN THE CARD. I WAS TOLD TO CALL WALMART TOLL FREE NUMBER AT HOME. THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THE WALMART GIFT CARD NUMBER, THEY COULDN'T HELP ME. I FINALLY CALLED BACK WALMART.COM TOLLFREE NUMBER AND TALKED TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WHO SAID HER NAME WAS JADE. I GLAD I DIDN'T USE BAD LANGUAGE, BECAUSE SHE FINALLY GOT ME A REPLACEMENT PIN NUMBER FOR MY PHONE CARD. I GLAD I DIDN'T LOSE IT!!! I WAS VERY UPSET, BUT I'M OVER IT NOW. HOPEFULLY I WON'T HAVE TO PURCHASE A PHYSICAL STRAIGHT TALK CARD AGAIN!!1
