I finally had to give up my flip phone and this was the cheapest thing I could find. Customer service was great. I only need to send a few texts a month and maybe make 2 phone calls so it is fine for me. If you need it to do more, do not get this one. No storage to speak of.
First off this phone won't be for everyone. If you download lots and lots of apps and games you probably won't like this phone because you aren't able to move apps to SD card with this phone but with that being said it had around 9 gigs of internal storage out of the box it comes pre installed with Facebook and YouTube and a couple games too, I was able to download most apps like messager, Snapchat, Instagram, Amazon, Hulu, Zedge and few others and I'm down to 4 gigs so that's not too bad. Screen isn't the brightest in the sun but if you turn it on full bright you can see it ok just not good when it's on low. Sound is alright I can hear phone calls good, but playing YouTube or music isn't the loudest if your in a noisy room your gonna want to use another speaker to listen without headphones. This also has a notification light which is nice. Both cameras aren't the greatest it'll take decent pics in good lighting in low lighting or at night is where it'll suffer I added a couple pics taken outside. I haven't had really much lag at all browsing the web or using apps for the processer it has, I'm able to do all basic tasks with no problems and use socal media. Overall I'd recommend this for someone who is one a budget and wants a smartphone that'll work fine until you can get a better one for $40 dollars I'd say it's a definite buy.
I bought this phone to replace a 7 year old phone. I figured $11.84 was not a big investment, so even if it didn't work, I wasn't out a lot of money. But, boy, did it work!! I love this Alcatel TCL LX more than any other phone I have owned. Thank you Straight Talk!
I have had this phone for the last 7 months. It is exactly what I needed, photos go directly to google photos so they do not take up storage space on the device. If you are looking for a basic smart phone that can support a few apps then this is definitely the way to go. Warning, If you like to play a ton of different games, This is not the phone for you as storage space would be the only downfall to this phone. You can download a few games and things, but not a ton.
Glad I bought it. Love the features available to me to use .
Ive had this phone for quite a while and dropped it many times. Its held up, it's durable, and overall its not a bad quality phone. Is it top of the line like the newest iphone or galaxy, no. But for $40 or so this phone is very very good. It feels nice; not too thick or bulky. Its sleek enough but the back also has grip so it's easy to handle. The camera isn't the greatest, youtube and other platforms will stream at 480p but it still looks pretty good for 480p honestly. If you want a phone for calling, texting, ect.. but you also would like to have access to the internet, podcasts, and youtube, ect.. this is a good phone. As someone who has personally dropped over $1200 on a phone before I can say that its not necessary. It's a waste of valuable time and money. This phone is perfect for what I need. The one thing that I wish was better is the camera.. but that simply encourages me to disconnect and appreciate the view. If you want my advice, buy this phone, get the $35 a month plan, download your music, and then use the money you're going to save to go on vacation. You wont get AMAZING pictures, but the things you will see are gorgeous. There's far more important things in life than a stupid phone, and if you're someone who understands that (but still wants a phone that doesn't feel 15 years old) then this phone is for you.
I bought 2 to give as gifts, 1 works great, no problems that person loves it, the other phone is crap, slow, glitches, both phones are used in the same area, same household..
Now that the phone is broken...can't find anywhere that can fix it. (They can't find the parts online)
the phone is cheap a $40 but is a piece of crap compare to the last $40 phone I had. it is very slow to react most of the time. you can't scroll through anything without it wanting to open everything you are trying to scroll past. the LG rebel I had was a much better phone at the same price.
I had it. Couple days. Its ok for $40. Doesn't take good pictures and the screen looks blurry. Maybe cause my other phone was better in that way. If I could do over probably won't have purchased and saved up for better phone. But for $40 it's not bad
