Solid not hollow, heavy and good quality.
I got exactly what I was looking for. The build quality of the bar itself is great--the handles are rough enough to provide grip without being so rough that they are uncomfortable to hold.
Smaller than I thought, but works ok.
Love it .The best thing to help build your arms
The tight grip makes standing tricep extensions difficult to do with good form. That's what I wanted this bar for. I should've gotten one with a wider grip. I'm still glad I got this bar because it's compact, and it's proven very good for skull crushers (triceps) and hammer curls (bicep brachii). The bar also has a decent weight. Scale says 10 pounds. It's 1/4th the length of my short curling bar.
item serves it's purpose. I do not like the threaded collars
