Swanson Active One Multivitamin with Iron 90 Capsules

I love all the products I buy from Swanson, but I especially appreciate this multi-vitamin. It's small & easy to swallow, yet chock full of everything I need. I just got my Mom started taking it, because her previous multi vitamin had become too difficult to swallow & she was avoiding it.I also love the fact that it's available with or w/o iron, for those of us who no longer need to take extra iron. It's a very well-thought-out daily vitamin combo at a great price.

Excellent product formulation that incorporates premium forms of chelated minerals. My internist recommended that I take a B-complex and this serves that purpose as well. I really appreciate that this multivitamin incorporates folic acid and cyanocobalamin rather than methylfolate and methycobalamin as I do not tolerate methylated vitamins at all.

This multi vitamin is an updated version of what I've used for years. I like that it's not a gel capsule and you don't take two. It's now one capsule shaped pill with close to same formula. The vitamin B's are a little less, but still higher than other multivitamins, which is important for my needs.

Excellent- I think it gives me more energy and stamina. I wanted to tell you about the Findhorn Ecovillage located in Northeastern Scotland. Good basic multivitamin-mineral. Higher end vitamins - Vitamin A is beta-carotene, vitamin D is D3. It is low in calcium and magnesium, so you would have to supplement to get the daily value. These are premium multivitamins, being that there are not a lot of additives or preservatives that you may find in other vitamins or the chain store vitamins. It would be nice if Swanson had a time release vitamin.

Great vitamin, love that it's a capsule so your body can absorb the powder better then a hard vitamin. I noticed a difference right away taking these. More energy and all around feel better. Love the fact that minerals are included in this well rounded vitamin & mineral supplement. We all need essential minerals and lack them in daily diet and processed foods. These are great and have copper in them as well. I am very satisfied with my purchase of these.

Active One was a decent basic level multi-vitamin …. until Swanson decided to switch the Vitamin E from a natural form to a synthetic form. By the way, they also recently did the same to the Vitamin E in their Vitamin D3 products and their other Swanson Brand multi-vitamin products. You have to very carefully read the label. Natural vitamin E is d-alpha tocopheryl acetate …. and synthetic Vitamin E is dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate. It's hard to tell the difference isn't it? Well, if you look very carefully, the synthetic form has a lower case L right after the lower case D as in: dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate. Some of you may say “well what's the big deal” but this does in fact matter because all of the studies that down play the importance of vitamins and claim that vitamins can be unhealthy always use the synthetic form. Any study that utilized the natural form of Vitamin E always proved to be beneficial. Now, I understand that natural Vitamin E is more expensive then the synthetic form but I would rather be charged a few cents more per bottle than have to be concerned synthetic Vitamin E and it's possible negative effects. I am very disappointed at Swanson for allowing synthetic Vitamin E into their Swanson brand products in general and the Active One multi, in particular.
