Swanson Zinc Citrate 50 mg 60 Capsules

Just got this, have been taking zinc gluconate which is decent but doesn't have as good of bioavailability as this product. This product is high quality and a great form of zinc for sleep, muscle recovery, hormone regulation, and other things as well. Highly recommend. I take it to prevent/help me get over colds, too. Great for the immune system. Just take it with food!

I like this product. I like the 50 mg. potency; I take 2 at a time to get the dosage I want. I like minerals in the Citrate form. From everything I've read (everywhere from Swanson's website and catalog to reliable publications and the internet) and experienced myself, Citrates are easy on the system, are digested and utilized well, and are effective. AND they are inexpensive compared to other forms.I really like Zinc Picolinate. I took other forms of Zinc (not Citrate), and they were okay, but when I switched to Zinc Picolinate, I felt that was a superior product. Recently, I noticed Swanson's good price / promotion on Zinc Citrate in the same potency I was taking in the Picolinate form, so I thought I'd give it a try. At its low price, giving Zinc Citrate a try wasn't a financial risk.Well, low and behold. . . . I seem to be getting the same good results with this Swanson's Premium Zinc Citrate 50 mg. capsule product as I was getting with the more expensive, excellent 50 mg. Zinc Picolinate product from NOW Foods that I also bought from Swanson Health Products.I haven't been taking this Zinc Citrate product for all that long. In six months, I'll have a better grasp on its efficacy compared to Zinc Picolinate. However, thus far, I feel that in my body, for my purposes, they are equal. Works for me.

I chose this form of zinc because it's a form that is easy to assimilate. It's a good product that's also very affordable.

I take 4 capsules daily to keep my prostate in check Plus 1mcgn of copper as Zinc depletes copper in the body

How can you tell if it's working? Assume it is.

As a first time user of this product I am joining it with vitamin D3 to inhanse my immune system. Having been a very long time user of Swanson products I have enjoyed good health. I am 84 years of age and am of the belief that the use of Swansons many products has helped in my healthy longevity. Too early to give an opinion on effectiveness.
