The rice is delicious and affordable. In this economy, this is the best value unless you go to Costco.
Our favorite rice! We use it for a variety of dishes: plain white rice, fried rice, sushi rice, cilantro lime rice, bone broth rice, etc.
This is higher-end premium rice for around 25% less than other stores in the area are selling it for.
Best price for this high quality rice!
best rice!
great quality!
This rice combines two types of short grain rice and is delicious. I previously purchased from Amazon at a substantially higher price ($34) but still thought it was worth the difference in taste and quality. What a buy here at $21.79. This rice is great as part of Asian inspired meals and suitable for sushi and onigiri. After living in Tokyo for nearly eight years and spoiled by the array of rice from different regions it was wonderful to find this superior California sourced product. At this price it is less costly or close in price to Koshihikari or Nishiki varieties that are more often available at the supermarket.
Exactly what wanted
This is excellent rice, but you have to cook it right. The instructions here are not very good. Use a rice cooker, wash it 5 times, soak for 1 hour at comfortable room temp, drain very well, then add only an equal amount of water. If it's a little dry, your rice cooker must have higher wattage, so add 1/8th more water.
This bag did not have any bugs in it. The previous purchase was full of bugs, but I didn't open it right away so I could not return it.
