It can be heated in the microwave straight from the pouch or heated on the stove. I used microwave, but I poured it into a bowl. The portion is perfectly sized and really filling. It tastes delicious and pretty mild. It’s not salty and it has some warmth from the spices, but not spicy and not strong. I will definitely be trying more meals from this brand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately forgot to take a photo of this after plating it but it's a solid, make it in your microwave option for when you're craving Indian food. It's even vegan, kosher and gluten free if those are factors that are important to you! I will say that it mixes better if you heat it up over the stove. But if you're pressed for time and on the go, a microwave works perfectly fine too. This is convenience at its best honestly. If you take a look at the ingredients list, it's relatively clean. A lot of the ingredients are even organic! A steal for what this retails for! For me personally, it wasn't as spicy as I'd like but I say that about everything lol. This would be the right amount of kick for somebody that's not accustomed to Indian food. I'd say the best way to prepare it is save it for when you have a little bit more time on your hands and access to a stove, dump the whole packet into a pot, wait about 5-10 minutes for it to heat up and properly mix together, and then pour the entire thing into a container to eat throughout the week. It's a better way to store it vs portioning it out by one meal and saving the rest in the packet.

I added precooked rice on the bottom and heated in the microwave. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste but did add salt and pepper to mine. The only thing missing was gluten free Naan bread for my wife.

It was definitely lacking salt, but I added hot sauce which took care of that and gave it a kick.
