Easy to use and a big plus is that it is waterproof. I don't "wash" it in the sink, but I have had other thermometers fail because of splashes near the sink. Readout is easy to see and the backlight helps when cooking out at night. Note to purchasers: batteries on my unit were installed but with a protective plastic film. Remove battery cover and remove film before trying to use.

works as advertised. works great I gave it 5 stars...but I messed up and got the wrong one...This one can't stay in the oven while cooking (baking). I need one to stay in oven and I could check it

I've had meat thermometers in the past that were a waste of money. This little meat thermometer works like a champ! It's quick, easy to use and accurate. I use it almost daily, whether I'm cooking chicken breasts, pork chops, cube steaks or whatever. My sister was visiting and was so impressed, I ordered one for her.
