This is the 2nd Masterbuilt smoker I have bought. Our calf chewed the cord off the 1st one. I bought another brand after that happened and it didn’t give my food the smoke aroma and taste I like so I sold it and bought another Masterbuilt! I love it. It’s roomy, gives my food the flavor of smoke I choose. It’s adjustable to hold more smoke or less depending on preference. Easy to assemble and use. I like that the drain pan is larger than on most other brands and easy to empty. This is the best brand that I prefer.
We are very new to the smoking game. We did have to read through the instructions for a couple of things, but overall it was very easy to set up. The pork loin that we smoked the first day was delicious. A definite learning curve on how fast the temperatures climb and then slow. We love the size and functionality of the shelving. Overall would recommend!
I like how the features have been upgraded to work more effectively and efficiently. I've used it once so far, for a smoked chicken, and it worked great. It heated up quickly and the temperature was accurate. I'm looking forward to it lasting for several years.
Very happy with this purchase. Seems well constructed and very few things to put together to set it up. I am a beginner at smoking meats and have only used it once to make smoked pulled pork and we really enjoyed it. Will have to see if it stands the test of time. Buying the extension legs with wheels so I can move it around easier and a cover so that I can keep it outside.
Love the smoker Whole Turkey fit fine NO PROBLEM! ! Thermostat and timer are great and everything we've smoked has been juicy and delicious. . Started outwit whole turkey. Also put acorn squash in with a chicken. Yummy! Barely releases any smoke so we can put it right on our patio. Our old smokey Joe had to be used 20 ft awayfrom the house or the whole place smelled like bacon. We didn't want all the bells and whistles or to spend too much. The features are adequate and it works great. We are Very happy! Highly Recommend A++
I bought the 40" electric smoker specifically to smoke kielbasa amd other sausage. After about 6 weeks, and 40 pounds of sausage, I'm more than satisfied with the results obtained for what I consider to be a bargain price unit! I use a ThermoWoeks Smoke to monitor internal air temperature amd it is rarely more than a few degrees off the digital readout. My only minor disappointment is not getting smoke below a smoker set point of 185F.
Well im not sure how to rate this. I bought it on Monday, used it Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I loved it. Today, Thursday it heated up to 225, I loaded chips and meat and it quit heating up. The heating element quit working after 3 uses. I tried to contact customer support, no help. Online customer support I filled out form but get an error i must be logged in to proceed. Some Oracle site that I have no idea what it is. I also see the element is sold out in store. So this is a major issue it sounds like. Can't love something that works 3 times. So can't rate it accurately right now. If the element worked more than three uses its an easy 5 star. But how i feel right now isn't 5 star.
i have smokers before and thought this would be ok but its terrible dont waste your money i bought it to smoke briskets and such which require a heat setting about 220 -230 well this smoker will not even produce smoke at this temp it says turn it up to 275 for awhile till the wood chips burn then turn it back down well that not the way you smoke a brisket or other meats constant low temp with smoke is required so i do not see anything good coming out of using this smoker if i wanted to bake something i would use the oven the idea is good bad its a bad design wood chips to from away from burner i even try putting wood chips in the ash tray which is closer to the burner with no better results so all in all do not buy this smoker its useless
it was ordered on December 12th never arrived as of the 24th had to request and refund and as the 27th still no updates or current status of where it is.
Smoker arrived with small dent in back panel casing. Electronics and heating element control ceased working with 300 degree readout for internal cabinet temperature prior to any use other than seasoning per the manual.
