These mats are rolled up in a box so when you first take them out they want to spring back into a roll. I plugged them in and they softened and laid flat in no time. Seems to hold the temperature well. I had a high percentage of germination with onion and broccoli seeds.
These heating pads work for a small area seed starters. The could be a bit larger to fit at least two. All in all the work and use minimal energy.
They are what they are. I just think I personally need a larger size. My first using these and so far so good.
You get two mats that are great for seedlings or starters that need warmth and you might not have favorable climates early in spring like we do in NY/NJ. You can start those inside safety with these mats getting an early start to spring planting. The instruction are written on the mat (English is on the left). The cord is directly built-into the unit so you can't lose it. Just be careful and don't get it wet or leave it plugged it overnight or when you won't be around. If you pair them with a started kit that has the little cubes with a cover and vent it'll help to make a greenhouse and boost your green thumbs more!

I purchased for my Uncle. This is my second order.
products are great, the problem is with the FedEx driver who wanted to see what was in the package and cut open the bag my item was in this is not good this is not the first time this has happened
