THE BARRACADE IS WORKING AS I EXPECTED, I HAVE BEEN USING ANDERSON'S FOR TWO YEARS NOW TO GET MY LAWN BACK UP TO GOOD HEALTH. I PLAN TO CONTINUE USE OF THERE PRODUCT AS I FIND IT TO BE THE BEST
I can only review the purchase and application process and will know more about the product results, with time. The online order was simple, the pre emergent arrived in two days, product distribution was easy with a Craftsman drop spreader pulled behind the mower. The product received rainfall within 24 hours. Seven inches of rainfall…..I'm not sure what to expect.
Our new house came with a new bermuda grass lawn which was laid down as dormant sod in October. The soil prep was minimal, so weeds started sprouting in the seams in early March. I put the product down 3 weeks earlier than recommended and I believe it did its job. In my area I probably should have applied it even earlier and then again in a few months. I'll know better next year.
I liked the product, but I didn't like how it was mailed. The packaging was too big and the box was mutilated by the time I got it. Thankfully, the product was not damaged. I didn't know I was going to be asked for a review and could have shown pictures. If I had I would have taken some. I will be taking photos in the future.
A visible difference between treated and untreated areas. We had a really early spring so I applied mid-March @ 1. 8#s/1000 to get the early weeds and will come back in 30-45 days @ 1. 4#s/1000 for the late bloomers. The will giet me to the right time to Overseed in late Aug as our ground temps will drop below 50 mid Sept. Also applied PGF Complete at same time, same rate, but will likely wait a full two months before applying it again
Have used this product twice a year for at least three years and was really disappointed not to get the coverage today that I've been accustomed to in the past. Used the same flow settings on the same spreader as in the past. Pertinent flow parts are plastic, snug so no corrosion has caused a higher flow rate. Walking speed about the same and distances between passes all quite similar. Will have to buy another local preemergent product to achieve full coverage.
I applied this March 2, which should have been early enough before most weeds germinate in my area. The results were very unsatisfactory. It's still too early to know if it prevented crabgrass, but my yard is covered with dallisgrass, poa annua, henbit, catch weed, chickweed, and others. I've had much better results with Scott's Halts.
Never got shipped. I wrote in to ask about the order and they advised it never shipped. It was a preemergent that I was waiting on. Y'all advised you were resending. Was hoping for a discount or overnight shipping and received neither. Love your products, just expected a little more. Thnx in advance
I bought "The Andersons Barricade Professional Grade" Pre-emergent weed control last year, after watching a so called specialist rave about it online, I thought I may have put it down too late Mid-March, because I had alot of weeds, once the temps started to reach into the 50's, Well I thought I'd buy it again this year, I put it down mid-Feb. in Middle North Carolina, well we are into the 50's now in late Feb. and here comes the weeds, this stuff is garbage, I'll never buy Andersons brand again, and wouldn't recommend anyone else spending $90 for a bag of this either, I've heard some fertilizers have weeds in the mix, well this stuff might have a little fertilizer mixed with the bag of weeds, Again don't buy this stuff you'll be sorry.
this didn't work at all. i have more dandelions then last year. i did put it diwn at the perfect time as recommended but it did nothing to stop seeds from sprouting. wasted money. all 5 star reviews are by people who were just happy they put it down but did not wait to see the results. big disappointment
