Not entirely necessary, it turns out.
A recipe called for this spice so I got it. Luckily, the recipe made it into our regular rotation so I will get full use out of the spice. It's very oregano-tasting, I probably could have gotten away with my own mix of less expensive spices but I have it so I'm happy to use it, but when it runs out, I doubt I'll buy more at this price. The shipment was a little delayed but did arrive -- which says a lot. Most times these days they don't show up when coming from a third party vendor.
