believe it or not, i use this to mix in bird seed blend. i have 2 feeders -1 is for the squirrels, but the other i stopped the squirrels from bothering with by mixing this cayenne into the seed blend. you need to experiment with amounts- some squirrels are a bit more persistent and immune to hot pepper. birds can't taste pepper and it's not harmful to squirrels. just repels them. plus this goes in the chili of course when i make it! be careful so you dont inhale it and wash your hands with soap after touching it. it's HOT!

i could go on and on about cayenne in cooking but i would rather point out a different use that can save you thousands of dollars- my car was towed so many times that my roadside car insurance was cancelled-i spent a small fortune and each time the same thing would happen with a week or two and the tow truck would come and haul it off again- all because rats were chewing the wiring under the hood- i tried everything but nothing helped until i discovered cayenne pepper= i sprayed water on each area and then sprinkled it liberally with cayenne pepper - no surface was left without cayenne pepper being coated on it including all the wires - that was 2 years and 9 months ago -- the rats moved out lock, stock and barrel and have not bothered my car again- once a year i go back and recoat all the areas again with fresh cayenne it is money well spent-

I love the Spice Way products. It's a great way to by larger quantities at a reasonable price. Once I get it, I pour it into my old spice bottle or jar and store the rest of it. Great flavor as well. I highly recommend it.
