The ratings ask for heat. Pepper isn't supposed to be very hot. Tangy, but not hot. This pepper was just fine. Seemed fresh, not broken. And no waste of extra glass spice jars, of which I have plenty. The package is easy to seal if you want to store extra in the original bag. A convenient means of keeping your supply of good pepper.

These peppercorns are a little smaller than the ones I have used in my pepper grinder for years. They function perfectly in there though! I was shocked how lovely and fragrant they are! These add a whole new dimension to foods I have always used pepper on, and I'm now using pepper on things I normally hadn't. You won't be disappointed by these! I wish they were a slightly larger bag though.

Nice packaging. Keeps whatever that doesn't go directly into the grinder, fresh! Haven't bought whole peppercorns in awhile. These have really good flavor. These make the last ones I had look like little rocks. I am very happy. Will buy again, definitely.

I never heard of "tellicherry" peppercorns. Then, this offering looked like the bargain that fits my desires. I'm glad I bought them. They grind beautifully in my new electric pepper mill. And, the taste sets my mouth to watering... flavor and aroma abound and there's just the right amount of heat for me.
