so far so good. the battery: the battery is a commonAAA battery. some of these CD display thermometers have special disc shaped batteries that are hard to obtain and more costly. getting battery for this thermometer is simple.. I like that and that is why I recommend this thermometer

I love that it hangs on a hook or because it's magnetic I can leave it on the side of the fridge. very handy, not going to lose this one. I love how it has a 15-second hold button so that it doesn't change temperature by the time you read it. yes that's how quick it is. You can measure the air in your room with it and I could probably take my temperature with it too! it has a long probe, that's great. and it illuminates. I love this! Oh, %26 extremely simple to change the batteries!

I don't dislike ANYTHING about this thermometer. • It gives quick readings. • I tested its calibration from the factory and it was spot-on. • I can't comment on battery life BUT I am thrilled that it uses a single AA-type rather than a less common button cell. • Also impressive was the inclusion of a small Phillips-head screwdriver for accessing the battery compartment. Incredibly thoughtful. • Finally, the online warranty registration lends additional confidence.

The thermometer came in a protective package that was easy to open and could be saved to put the thermometer back in. I didn't have to struggle and worry about getting cut on rough plastic. A simple AAA battery, which was provided, is all it takes-no dangerous, hard-to-find cell battery. A tiny screwdriver was included in the packaging; pleasant surprise! Also surprising is how FAST this thermometer gives a reading! checked for accuracy with a different thermometer and it's spot on! Instead of trying to find the thermometer amongst a lot of other kitchen tools, it's magnetized, so it can be on your fridge, ready for service. If I forget to turn the thermometer off, no problem; shuts off automatically.

I've broken my last two instant read thermometers. I use one for just about everything I cook. This one uses a standard AAA battery that comes with it. The instructions say it's a CR2032 battery, but that's not correct. It even includes a small jeweler's screwdriver to open the battery compartment.

It works great and it definitely helps me cook better food. I always used to overcook or undercook things like pot roasts and porkchops, but with this I can have perfectly cooked meat. The magnet is nice too, so I just stick it to my fridge. My cat likes to knock it off though.

Responds quickly to temp. Easy to clean and comes with a safety cap for the tip. The only wish I had is if the head would swivel, but at the price, I have no complaint

It's the worst design ever. The probe doesn't flip in so it's always extended and out. Now what if you lose the tip cover? You can't really put it in a drawer you HAVE to put it on the fridge and maybe I don't wanna do that. Then the battery casing takes a screwdriver. It's all very impractical

me and my youngest sun are cooks and this product is a dus it is a lemen from the factory it won't even come to the piont were it is supposed to be sarting to read temp of your food.,and to get it reterned can be aggravating 😨, thank you though for trying to send a Great idem,i am sorry i got a bad unit from the factory?.

Broke after a month of owning it. Wiped down using extra special care, gently handled. Still broke. Tried replacing batteries, etc. save your money and get a good quality food thermometer, not this. It's worth it to put your money into a good quality one rather than this garbage. Good safety is important!
