Longer size is very nice. Fits snuggly on the rim of the pan. Digital easier to read than rather thermometers.

This candy thermometer seems to work fine. I bought it to make fudge. I was not successful but the thermometer worked fine.

We purchased this to measure the temperature of a wax machine, and it works perfectly. Reading is accurate, consistent, and quick. Overall easy to use. Display and digits are easy to read. Came with batteries.

It works as advertised, and I have not had it long enough to see if the battery lasts a long time.

We have only tryed it once but it did what it was suppose to do and it was the correct temp

I thought by having the adjustable clip it'd be easier to clip to my pot. Unfortunately it is not even remotely the case. It won't stand up when clipped because the top is too top heavy. It's made of plastic at the top and can be flipped which I like. Just disappointed that is harder than heck to clip on my pot.

I started using a thermometer when I started making candy. and I found out the hard way and that you need to reach 300° to get the proper set. I had another thermometer that was on a cable with a digital readout but the difficult part was getting it attached to the pot. this one attaches easily to the pot wall and has a large screen making it easy to read. it's keeping an accurate temperature. I can't evaluate how long it will last or how durable it is but it looks like it will hold up for most of the work I'm going to do. and I would buy it again

The biggest issue is with the clip. The edges are sharp. I can see getting cut if you aren't careful. Also it does not clasp on to the pan. That means you have to hold it which can be a pain when you're making candy.
