This is a great thermometer. You can use it for candy making and for frying. It has a reference chart that is really handy on the front of the thermometer. The display pivots and adjusts making it easy to read from any angle. It has a long probe that I found to be great for using with one of my very large pots. Gives you accurate readings in a matter of a few seconds. Wide temperature range from -58.0 degrees Fahrenheit to 572 degrees Fahrenheit. It was priced great I would definitely recommend this thermometer to anyone

This thermometer works so much better than the older type. It clips easily to the pan. The digital read out is so easy to see. I had the mercury rising type for so many years and it was so difficult to keep track of the temperature. I used it this time for fish and chips. Can't wait to make toffee with it. If you are at all interested in a new one, don't hesitate to get this one. I love it.

Everything's wonderful, accurately reads temperature, easy to use. However I can guarantee you this thing is NOT waterproof, I bought one and tried washing it once. Now there's water on the inside of it, so much for your false advertising now I have to buy another one. Will obviously not be buying Thermo ‘Pro'

This is a christmas present and it arrived with the package tore open. I have not given it to the recipient yet to know if it will work

I would not recommend this item. It reads about 10° higher than other thermometers, which caused serious problems. Because I didn't realize the temperature was so inaccurate, it ruined my candy and led to a lot of wasted ingredients and money. I will never purchase this product again.

Don't waste money.
