I had to get a low dose, due to my current high calcium level. Once I have surgery I will go up to 5000 ui a day instead of this very low dose. It's too low for most people. Make sure you take vitamin K2 and magnesium with it to work properly. Also, it is a FAT soluble hormone. Take it with fat or it won't work properly. Eat healthy with it (animal fat or olive or grass- fed butter, for example).

I cannot judge the effectiveness after a couple of weeks, hopefully it is good given that Thorne is USA Olympic team sponsor. The good thing is that the vitamins are really tiny and easy to swallow - I know some have issued and cant easily swallow pills

I started purchasung Thorne vitamins recently. I have had great experiences with ordering, purchasing, and receiving my orders. I recently had an issue with an order due to delivery, and the issue was resolved with a simple phone call to the company.

I got a blood test a year ago that verified I was extremely deficient in vitamin D. After taking it over the past year (on and off, admittedly), my vitamin D levels are now within normal levels according to my latest blood test. I was taking 5,000 IU for the majority of the past year, and started taking 10,000 IU about 2 months ago. I am feeling better and better everyday since increasing my dosage. Additionally, I've my hair has stopped thinning as much (hair thinning is a common side effect for those who are deficient in vitamin D), but I've also been using topical minoxidil (5%). The capsules were half empty, some of them. Way too expensive.

Just received the 4 bottles of Thorne D3 I ordered. Each bottle contains 90. Recommended dose is 1 per day, so each bottle lasts 90 days. I ordered 4 bottles. That's 380 days worth of recommended servings. Every single bottle expires in 6 months. I have two other bottles I previously ordered, that don't expire for 2 years. If you're going to be selling products so close to their expiration date, you need to let consumers know prior to their purchasing them. Which you did not.

It wasn't until after purchasing I learned Thorne was bought by l catterton. Just like pure encapsulations was bought by nestle. I have no interest in taking something owned by a private equity firm where they take something good and ruin it. Price goes way up, and quality goes way down. Every time.
