The Total Gym Apex G3 is as good as the original Total Gym, of which I bought 4. I would have preferred the bare-bones model for less than half the price, but it no longer seems to be available. Serves as a good way to end a workout with free weights. Good for flexibility and toning. It can even give a decent upper-body workout in 20 minutes if you don't have time for a serious workout.
I had the original Total Gym model years ago. I gave it away when we moved to a small apartment. I've regretted that since. This newer version is really nice. It still works the way the original did, but with more / better attachments and safety features. They can also hold more weight (there's even the option of using a weight bar so you can add weights). It comes fully assembled (except obviously the attachments) set up is easy. Each exercise works multiple muscle groups at the same time. It folds down for easy storage. Set up and break down only takes 3-4 minutes. It comes with an operation manual and a detailed exercise manual describing the different exercises.
I bought this Total Gym for my Beach Home. I already own one for my other residence. I was very impressed with the quality of the product for the price. I paid double for a similar one many years ago. You can't beat the number of exercises that can be done at home, for just an investment of $400 dollars.
Love, love, LOVE this system. Easy to put together, easy to use. Takes up very little room. It makes me want to work out, and that is saying a lot! Wish I had purchased it earlier. Well worth the money. It arrived earlier than expected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use and under stand good directions i loving apex3 the only thing wish I would have got better model
Was skeptical but am now a believer. This machine gives you a way to target muscles in multiple directions and intensities. Fold up quickly for storage or transport when traveling. Each day I try a different variation on exercises and wake up a little sore the next morning. Bought from Walmart for an easy return process if I didn't like but am definitely keeping. Best bang for the buck in workout machines. Thanks Chuck. The dinosaurs looked at Chuck Norris the wrong way once. You know what happened to them.
Total gym is good for beginners. As a senior citizen I'm finding it a bit awkward to maneuver the gym from folded to flat position, and moving the height of the gym. Im sure that in time and practice it will be better; Also as I gain strength. The squats are easier in my knees than traditional exercise. It does take up a bit of space, glad it folds compact
Arrived quickly and in good condition. I'm using it primarily for upper body workouts, which is great, but one of the basic recommended exercises for legs involves an accessory piece that is not included in the shipment, otherwise I'd have given this a 5 star review.
Not really impressed at all, , the Total Gym I had in 2009, I used with confidence daily. Sometimes would use it numerous times daily. The handles were steel, rubber coated also. Made me work harder and longer. I'm waiting for the handles to break, , Plastic and nylon isn't as strong or durable as the older models. They'll break, ,I'll have to order new ones, , , which of course profits the company. No people I' m not happy wish I still had my older model , , ,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is incredibly unstable and difficult to adjust the settings. I would like to return it.
