Tri-Ply Clad 2 Qt Covered Stainless Steel Sauce Pan

Bought this to replace my Tramontina 2 Qt sauce pan as we just installed a new induction cooktop. This has become my new daily use pot! Well made and solid, works perfectly with the new cooktop, looks very nice, and feels good in my hands.

Took me a little time to learn, cooking with stainless. I love the heat retention and how even the pots and pans heat up. Clean up is a breeze. Not the most expensive for sure but not the cheapest. Worked perfectly with our budget

I recently injured one wrist but with ease I was able to pour off 6 cups of boiling water with one hand due to the handle design and extra handle. I love being able to see through the glass lid.

Similar to All-clad sauce pan but with a glass top, which I prefer because you can see what is inside. Because both the sides and bottom are thick, food does not scorch on the sides when cooking with gas. This one was made in Brazil, and the fit and finish were excellent.

I purchased two of the TRAMONTINA sauce pots, a 2qt and a 3qt sauce pots from These are good quality tri-ply (3) ply layered aluminum sandwiched in between two layers of stainless steel on the bottom and continuously going up the sides of the pots for even more evenly distributed heat transfer. Which some brands are only layered on the bottom side. My reasoning for not giving this fine cookware a four star rating is that at the top of the rim it is left open exposing the three layers and seems like it is not a finished product and it should have been sealed. Maybe there's a reason for it I don't know about but just looks like it should have had a seal of some type. Just my opinion! The bottom outer layer is made of a magnetic stainless steel that makes it compatible for induction cooktops. Yes I would recommend this cookware for a good middle of the road stainless cookware and that is induction friendly!

I love this pot! It's a great size, looks really nice, and heats very evenly. I haven't had anything stick to the bottom. The long handle is very smooth and comfortable in my hand but there are two things I don't like about the handle: 1) it is long which is nice when cooking but makes the pot difficult to wash in my sink 2) the handle is smooth which is comfortable but when my hands are damp/just washed I can't maintain a grip on the handle.
