This Pocket size ferrocerium bar and striker can produce big sparks adding up to better chance at a fire when you need one. The size is right for EDC everyday carry small enough and light enough that you won't notice it but large enough for use by people with large hands. At Walmart's cost you can have one in multiple packs or locations
You have to know how to use any of these type devices, so don't wait until there's an emergency before breaking it out and using it. That being said, this is a great item.
Great product for a get home bag!
Good product, good price, and good that it could be picked up after ordered online.
This lighter is small and perfect for camping or bonfires on the beach.
This is a really great buy, it is a decent fire starter and at walmart Spark Force is next best to the Bear Grylls Gerber fire starter in my opinion.
I bought this not reading any reviews. Once I had it home I did two modifications immediately. First, removed the cumbersome string that keeps you from getting the two pieces lost (even though they snap firmly without the help of string. Second, I lightly sanded the spark rod (round) to remove all coating on all sides. Finally, I lit a cotton ball (with no fuel) three strikes. To me this is well worth it's price.
It was recommended to have in case of weather emergencies.
This item did not work as stated. The material on the striker came off very quickly since we had to strike it many times to get it to spark well enough. Experienced Boy Scout could not start a fire with it.
terrible. not a full flint. just bare metal. its not a real fire starter. save your money
