Uniden BC125AT Feature-Rich Analog Handheld Scanner

Firstly, I've had plenty of experience using scanners, especially Uniden, so the operation of this unit, specifically the programming, was certainly user friendly, and not that difficult, especially, compared to many base models which I typically use. If you're having difficulties, just refer to online videos. You honestly can't go wrong with Uniden products in general. The quality is exceptional, and the price was certainly a steal. For a beginner, novice, or even someone with experience, this is really a nice little piece. 10 banks, with 50 channels per bank, which therefore gives you 500 frequencies to explore, that is definitely plenty for those new to scanning. This scanner is definitely enough for anyone wanting to explore the world of scanning. Also, it comes with both VHF and UHF coverage, which is a great feature! I certainly don't want to bore people with all the specifications of the scanner, and their application. However, those considering purchasing this scanner, or those people even on the fence, rest assured, you definitely have plenty of options at your disposal and I truly believe this Scanner hits the sweet spot.....both in features and especially price (for what you get)! Programming the scanner isn't rocket science, but if you're new, or having any difficulties, with using this scanner, go online and look at the many tutorial videos. I have several videos posted onYouTube, specifically using and programming this scanner, the BC125AT, along with more high end base models, as well as mobile, or handheld scanners. ***I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND UTILIZING YOUR PC IN CONJUCTION WITH THIS SCANNER, AND ESPECIALLY, DOWNLOADING THE NEWEST PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE AND DRIVERS, AND ESPECIALLY THE NEWEST VERSION OF FIRMWARE*** This scanner definitely checks all the boxes, and is certainly priced nicely! I really like this scanner ease of use good reception and I just enjoy listening to what is going on around the county I would definitely recommend this product.

Straight forward. Finding the software was a little challenging, but not too bad. Easy install to a PC, and upload in one setting. Easy operation. NOT Digital. Will not be for larger cities who use Trunked systems.

Arrived quickly and undamaged. Only issue…several steps for programming frequencies had apparently been omitted from manual. With almost 50 yrs of experience it should not have been an issue. Fortunately CSRs at UNIDEN were “Johnny on the spot” and quickly filled in the gaps. Overall great little unit. However would strongly recommend replacing supplied batteries with a trusted brand of your own choosing.

easy and clear to hear, small easy to carry, easy to charge. Cost was good.

Once I made it through all the documentation, the scanner has worked very well for my needs and area. Documentation is not geared for a beginner. The only other issue is with the quality of sound. I realize that this a portable scanner, but I have heard other scanners of the same size where the sound is much clearer.

The device works well with fire and emergency. It was easy to program once you downloaded the app on your computer and filled in the Frequency codes. The only thing I wish I would have know is that you need a trunking scanner to get the police band because the codes I put in does not work on this scanner

I can't get it programmed, HELP PLEASE???

i cannot program it and i dont have no one to program it.

To hard to set up for older ppl with no computer skills and understanding of how they work.
