This bird feeder is great for general variety wild bird food- the holes are definitely big enough for big seeds like sunflowers, so nothing gets jammed inside. The perches are great, and the birds hang around and on it constantly! It also looks nice. I'm happy with this bird feeder!

High quality and nice appearance. It took a little while for the birds to figure out this feeder, but they did finally come around to it. Am using with Pennington Wild Bird Food. The suits the smaller birds well and they are now getting their fair share.

these bird feeders are wonderful...squirrels do not chew the perches or parts because metal...I absolutely love them....the birds do to...every perch has a yellow finch on it ...they love it ! ....Sturdiness is excellent...I use black sunflower seeds ...hang them on double pole hooks close to lilac tree ...they love it and seem relaxed ....

Since the bear got all of my bird feeders in my front yard. So now, the bird are having fun on my back open deck. My 7 cats are not able to get to the back area now.

It helps to discourage pigeons, who like the 'clever sheep, Harold' on Monty Python have learned to eat at those hanging feeders. Because the perches are a little small!!!

The rungs for them to sit on take awhile for even the finch and female cardinals, etc to stand on but they got the hang of it after a while and it serves a great purpose to keep the grackels and bigger birds out and over in their feeder!!!! I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase.

I've had feeders like this before but they were cheaply made with plastic ports. The birds pecked the plastic apart after two seasons. This one has metal ports and the tube feeder itself is of a much higher grade of plastic.

the birds loved it. only problem is the fungus that's at the bottom cos you can't take it apart to clean. putting it in the dishwasher didn't clear out either. will see if i can get a toothbrush in there to clean it. definitely not squirrel proof once my squirrels figured out how to hang upside down to get the seed inside.

Birds empty my older feeder but pretty much ignore this one. My old one has a tray at the bottom that catches seed and birds like to both perch on it and eat from it. This new feeder doesn't have that, and the perches on this feeder are sloped and significantly shorter, making it harder for the birds to sit and eat. A pie plate of food is better than this feeder. Just remember to take the pie plate in from rainy weather.

Sturdy feeder. However, it does not disassemble for easy cleaning. I can't take apart the base from the tube. Seed falls between the base and the tube and gets stuck. Water is not removing it. Now it will just get moldy and I have to throw away the feeder. There is no way to remove the perch from the bottom or pinch it, so I can open the base. Nice while it lasted, but poor set up for cleaning.
