I've had nylon bristles in the past and they don't hold up to heat and sunlight. These stainless steel bristles work very well and this unit is really not very heavy, I was surprised.
I have had the brush for a few months now. We were having some issues with yellow algae and the plastic brush wasn't getting it. This one got the algae off the sides and the corners with no issue. We have been using it everyday since and there is no rusting or bending of the bristles. It is in great condition and still looks brand new. I definitely recommend.
I've tried a few pool brushes and always come back to this one! It's light and very sturdy. It does the job better than any I've found.

Easy to put on and heavy duty. Hopefully it won't get warm out so easily by the sun
Bad for curves. Great for flat areas. My pool has a lot of curves and this is just too stiff to reach those areas. Need two types with this type.
