This wet kitten food is what we feed our kittens for supper. They like it. It comes in a variety of different flavors and consistencies. Another good consideration is the price. It's affordable. They sure lick the plate clean when they get this food for supper.
I was finding it difficult to find wet cat food specifically for kittens besides Fancy Feast, which just seemed so expensive. So I found this product at a reasonable price for what you get. My cat loves it! I recently ran out and WalMart didn't have any in stock so I had to buy the more expensive brand and my cat would barely touch it. Immediately ordered it to be shipped and have never considered another brand!
I bought this brand when I saw it online at a great price. The quality is very good and my cats liked it from the beginning. I have had no issues with the kitten or older cats liking it equally. I give kitten food to my two older cats to help keep their weight up as them seem to eat but never gain weight. I am happy with the product and quality so far.
I used this to wean kittens to solid food. They love it! It's so cute to hear them smacking on it at meal time. Mama kitty likes it, too. She comes in to lick to bowls clean after the kittens are done eating (and her own bowl still has food in it). I wish it were a little cheaper, but I'm otherwise satisfied with it.
i loved the price of this food. it was the cheapest around that i could find. i went through a lot, and i mean, A LOT of kitten food! i had a pregnant cat who just wanted 2 eat all day, then she had 4 kittens and when she was nursing them she ate like 6-8 times a day. u have 2 give pregnant and nursing mothers kitten food 4 the extra fat and protein, they need it. then i had 4 kittens 2 feed when they hit 6 weeks and i had 2 seperate them from mom so she could get fixed. i would honestly still be buying this food if my cats didnt start snubbing their noses at it. so if u dont have a picky cat and go thru a lot of food quickly, this is great.
I took off one star because it's grain free and I am wondering if that's why the kittens aren't really gaining weight, even though they love it. It's nearly half the price of Fancy Feast kitten food, so since I'm fostering kittens at my own expense it really helps. I did find that they weren't gaining weight, so I've added kitten formula with the canned food and they are thriving.
Quality Control is not the best. But if you are strapped for cash this is one of the best ingredients at the best price. I ordered 3 times and have a few for back-up. My kitten liked the last batch (I say like because he did eat the cans, but it took his time, and came back later to finish up) when I feed FF he usually will eat the whole can in a few minutes. a few of the cans I got were just bad for some reason. they smelled different than the rest and Cat would not touch them, I gave it to the strays since the are much less picky
I nearly lost two of my 5-month-old kittens because of this food. Spent $450 at the vet trying to figure out what was wrong with them (vomiting, diarrhea, extremely lethargic). All the tests were inconclusive (typical vet experience). They didn't even inquire about the food they were eating, but we immediately took them off of Vibrant Life . Within 2-3 days they were back to normal. I have no idea what they are putting in this food, but it is deadly.
The item never arrived. So I cannot speak to whether my cats would have or would not have liked it. I was hoping to try it with my kittens. Unfortunately didn't get to try it. My thought is that if it's not in stock and it's not readily available locally it shouldn't be advertised.
We had our kittens on this for about 4 months until it made my kitten very sick. I had analyzed the ingredients, and it looks like pretty decent quality food with a great price. After eating this for several months, halfway through a new variety pack, I noticed the can I opened had a slightly different texture. It smelled normal and I checked all the exp dates, the can was definitely sealed when I opened it and everything was fine, so I gave it to my kittens. One kitten barely ate any (which was odd) and the other ate it like normal. The next can I opened was a different flavor but same texture issue. My one kitten refused any of it- which we also give dry food so I wasn't too worried, but again my other kitten ate it. The next day, the kitten that was continuing to eat the vibrant life canned food started vomiting. I didn't put it together quite yet but then she started refusing the canned food too and she continued vomiting and became lethargic. We ended up having to take her to the vet, get a hydration shot, a prescription for nausea, and prescription sensitive stomach canned food which both kittens ate heartily- no vomiting after. I removed all the vibrant life stuff and a few days later they were thankfully back to normal. I put them on a different kitten canned food, no longer prescription and they are doing fine, thank goodness. I threw out all of the vibrant life canned food as I am positive it made her sick (and I wouldn't donate it either at that point!). I looked online and there weren't any recalls and nothing I had was expired. I know this food made my kitten very sick, so I am warning others. This food was great until it wasn't And when it wasn't it was pretty serious!!
