Just remember to program the phone or it doesn't work. If you're like me you just hook it up and assume it will be ok. There are a few simple steps to program it to your existing phone. Not computer savey but it was simple to do if you read the instructions. Ordering on web was best thing as I couldn't find it in any of the stores, fast easy and simple.
The phone was incredibly easy to set-up. The price is right and it works flawlessly with the central telephone I purchased earlier. The original telephone is a wired unit with one wireless unit. I wanted extra an extra phone for another room and the original telephone was expandable.
My old handset phone died and I went to buy a whole new base and all and the clerk at Wal Mart told me I could get the accessory handsets but I had to order them. I am so glad she did. I have ordered 2 more! I had trouble getting it registered with my base but once I got that done it works great. All I could figure out was that I was holding down the ''quiet#'' button too long when I first tried to register it. I recommend this product
I've had this phone system for 12 years now and it's recently become understood that we needed a "Toilet Phone" and I remember the phone system was expandable. Ordered this expansion handset. Once I received it, All I had to do was place it on the Main base unit for what it said could take up to 90 seconds to register, but it only took less than 10 seconds. Your Mileage may vary though. The only change is if you only have two handsets and add one, the simple intercom now becomes one extra button press. Each handset is numbered as handset 1, handset 2, handset 3... Pressing the intercom button will make the screen screen will say "Intercom to..." and you just press the number of the handset you want to call. Easy to use set up and it works as all the other handsets on the system.
Phone is lightweight, charges fast and speaker phone is a plus. All entries that were in our original phone when we decided to purchase this extra handset were automatically entered into this phone within 1 minute. Very satisfied.
We could not find a three unit set in any of the three local Wal-Mart stores, so we bought a two unit set and did what associate advised--order an additional accessory handset from Wal-Mart.com Good idea! From order time to delivery was excellent, two days no extra charge! Set-up was very simple. That was a good thing since I don't have any 8 year-olds around to set up my electronics! This handset has met all our expectations. We would purchase again.
Received a new phone as a gift & needed another phone for upstairs. Ordered this accessory phone & really like it. Works great & fit in small space designated for it. Just what I needed.
My handset units (I ordered three), worked at first. Then one, then another just stopped working. One other still works. It would be nice if they all worked. Also, the base unit seems too buzz more "around people's speech", sort of an electronic robot quality, since I got the units.
Seriously. When you dial the phone no tones are heard for about 2 seconds then the tones sound rapidly to catch up with your fingers. It throws you off while dialing. Also the base unit does not have very good clarity. There is a low background noise or hum that degrades the quality of the sound. The background noise was NOT there with my old phone. I do not recommend this phone.
The base to the phone is good the phone for the bedroom is good the one for the living room does not work the battery is dead.I even try putting the one in a different room but it still doesn't work so what do I do with the phone that doesn't work?
