This product works great

Jerry, the pool boy August 20, 2025

I purchased this to clean up small bugs and dirt that gets in the pool. Rather than pull out 40 feet of hose I thought this would be easier. It's like having a Dustbuster for the pool. It's very easy to use and you can literally clean the whole pool with it. We only have a 18 foot diameter pool so if you have a bigger pool, it might not be useful to you.

Great little addition to our pool devices

Rondagirl April 21, 2020

This little gadget works very well. It sucks items off the bottom of the pool with ease. Just wish the filter was a little bigger. I have a 11k gal pool and I empty the filter three times usually when vacuuming. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance. Lite weight. Full charge after each use. It reminds me so much of my little hand held household vacuum. No hoses are always a plus!

Perfect for small pools!

Jessica August 1, 2016

This little vaccum is perfect for my 17' X 48" Pool. It is very powerful and helped turn our cloudy pool clear in a day! Watchouts: We live in Phoenix and collect a lot of dirt during our Monsoons (and in general really). The micro-socks fill up FAST (like within a couple of minutes). To save time and energy, I ended up purchasing more micro-socks to get our weekly cleaning done faster and less time cleaning socks while vaccuming. Also, none of our extention poles fit this vaccum. I started vaccuming by being in the pool (kind of relaxing for me) but did go to Amazon and purchased their extention pole. Be sure to read the instructions about care. I saw reviews about this product not lasting long so we are adhering to all the warnings about over charging, properating battery sealing and storage. All in all, we are very happy with our purchase.

Thank Goodness for this products - A True help

This item is fantastic and performed as it was advertised. I am not sure how I was able to clean my pool without the Catfish. Now I do not have to use those darn hoses anymore! The catfish is stronger than my regular pool system and picks up everything in its path. I have had the cleaner for a month now and I have used it almost daily and have not had any problems at all. The filter bag is very easy to clean and the Microscopic filter bag that it came with gets out all of the fine stuff in my pool. I would highly recommend this for anyone that has a pool, large or small.

highly recommend

this thing is awesome! after putting the micro filter on I was able to vacuum up the sand from my pool. It was a bit snug putting the micro filter on, but definitely worth it. It has good suction, and a wide enough head that I was able to do about half my 18' round pool in about 10 minutes. And the best part is I don't have to mess with dragging out the hose, filling up the hose so no air is in it, trying not to tangle my pole up in the hose, draining the hose, and then winding the hose back up. All I have to do now it turn it on, vacuum, empty the filter, and put it away. I swear you save so much time with not having to deal with that stupid hose. And it fits a universal 1.25" pole which I already had.

Really Works!

Dinah May 31, 2021

This Catfish Cleaner works much better than I thought it would, I have a 4' above ground pool and even though it is small it sucks up the pine straw, leaves and sand very well. It is easy for a senior to use, not very heavy and it fits on the pool pole that I had already so I can stand out of the pool to clean it. The bag inside that collects the dirt is small, so I do empty it out 3 times, but that would be the only improvement that I would like to see.

great little vac

BSSOXPATS June 24, 2013

the only reason this did not get 5 stars is there is no on-off button like the older model that lasted me about 6 years. when taking the vac out of the water you must partially turn the rear cap to turn it off being careful not to let water inside as the vac drains. other than that the catfish performs very well. i dont have any difficulty turning it on or off or putting the sand and silt filter on like some other reviews have said,it is quite simple.you can however purchase sand and silt filters seperately that install just like the regular filter.i just hope this one lasts as long as my first one because with the catfish the only time i have to use the conventional vacuum is when opening the pool, and that is only because of the extra time it takes, but other than opening the pool i can vac my entire 24ft round above ground pool on a single charge, without emptying the bag, about 30-40 minutes. very convenient, well worth the 75 bucks i paid

Don't recommend it

alscubans May 31, 2014

It sets up good until you want to use the dirt catcher on the screen, it is a hard to install, if you going to used it to pick up leaves is okay but for dirt forget it, because the battery life dies down within 5 minutes, yes it picks up the dirt but now you have to on screw the thing and start all over again. To turn on the battery on is very hard they way the tool is setup, you have to buy a regular pool extension handle which adds an additional 28 bucks if you don't have one. Overall don't spend your money on this if you want to pick up dirt.

too small

worthless49587394587 July 26, 2014

If you really need a vacuum this will be plugged up so fast you will spend more time cleaning it than vacuuming. the bag is about 2 inches deep and plugs up in about 5 seconds, really not worth anything, like trying to clean the bathroom with a toothbrush...
