New to smoking, but this product was great.
They do exactly as intended. I use them for my charcoal smoker. Most pieces are at least 2 inch square. Some are thinner, but as long. They don't burn up too fast, and that's exactly what I was looking for. There ARE some smaller pieces similar to what you would use to start a fire. That's not what you're looking for in cooking wood as it burns up way too fast, but every box of cereal I buy has the powder at the bottom... so it's probably to be expected.

Pecan!!
No need to soak in water, great flavor. Be sure to practice with these before just tossing on the minimum amount. We used two large chunks as recommended on the packaging. It was far more smoke than needed for 3.5 lbs of ribeye.
