This Model has stood the test of time
My father bought this coffee maker in 1992. back them it was made in the USA. i still use it to this day for party's and events. I have never had an issue. So, 20+ years later, still the same. Maybe WESTEND needs to bring the manufacturing back to the USA to make these things last longer.

excellent durability
I have always been happy with west bend coffee urns very durable and dependable. When the pot I've been using for about 15 years finally went bad. I went online to find another one..

Great tea maker too!
My husband drinks lots of tea per day, and this was perfect. It's easy to clean up as well. The reason I can't give 5 stars is that I thought it had a On/OFF switch but it doesn't. Also, the tube that comes in the middle is easy to come off (it doesn't screw in). Other than that, we love this so far and use it for chines tea.

Good as Usual
I have been using this model Westbend Urn for over 30 years.I use it exclusively for boiling water.It remains on for about 25 continuous hours weekly. The latest urn works as well,as,the others. My only disappointment, and this 4 stars is that the cord is now permanently attached.

Good, practical coffee urn
After owning one of these for 4 years the heating coil began to give out and wouldn't bring the pot to full temperature, but compared to smaller coffee pots that last 4 months I considered it a bargain, so purchased another of the same brand. It is easy to use and speedy, and serves us well, and is far cheaper than other brands.

Quality and reliability
Not a quality product. I read the manual several times. The basket was basically the problem. No matter what I did , grounds got in the coffee and the basket would flood. It also was a bit noisy also. Returned it after trying 3 times new coffee, measured water exactly and referred to booklet many times.

Product arrived damaged. A little hassle to get it returned but worked out after talking to customer service.

Sucky dispenser
Dispenser handle keeps dislocating. Relatively easy to snap back on but it is a horrible design. No stars is not an option so 1 star it is
