Whistler WS1025 Analog Desktop Radio Scanner for Emergency Communications, 300-Channel

Bought this for my 80 year old father as a gift. He loves the unit every time I go over to visit it's on and he gives me a recap of the days events. Keep in mind that this is a analog unit, but you still get plenty of channels along with local channels you can easily program. Another positive was it only took 22 hours from the time I ordered the unit till it was delivered to my home. Great job Walmart.

This is the best scanner for the price, it sounds very clear and has many channels.

A very nice, well made scanning radio. Covers most of the commonly used frequencies, many pre-programmed for easy searching. Works OK with internal antenna but can use an external antenna for much better results. Fair price, good quality, quick delivery and in good condition.

sound to low to hear! walmart in warrenton oregon would not let me have refund on item because it was not in the box it came in it was put on burn pile in the walmart return it said if the box was gone they would box it...so now what the scanner is no good to me..

Too difficult

Easy to program sets nice on the counter after I programmed it and scanned itself didn't pick up anything. A bunch of static realized that it's an analog and a lot of places have gone digital so unless you got an extreme high antenna for it, you still will not pick up the stuff that you really want. Will be picking up a digital Scanner instead
