Great camera. The picture quality is crisp and well defined. I set the detection zone to capture what I need and eliminate unwanted motion. The alert notification is quick. Once you look at the camera's live view the application shows recent captured videos.

I have 15 WYZE cameras of which 4 cameras are V-4. Like the clarity and color. They are installed in more critical or panoramic views. Using only the SD cards, like that no fees. But the V-4 are slow to connect (most noticed) after the last software upgrade.

This camera was a replacement for a V2, and so far it has been excellent. The image quality is crystal clear. Setup was very easy, and sharing access with family members was a breeze. I installed it next to the room where the router is located, and the signal strength has been consistently strong.

This camera replaced my pan camera which was always resetting itself to a useless position every time my internet had a blip in its service. I had to get on a step stool to reset it which was a big inconvenience The Cam V4 is wide angle like the other one, the nighttime vision is much better than the Pan 3. Should have done this sooner. Very easy to set up.

There is nothing to dislike about these cameras!!! They have a very sharp view!! The night vision is great!! Ordered another one since my first order. My son-in-law recommended this camera. He does his homework on everything he purchases. Whatever he recommends, I can take to the bank!!!

My first experience with Wyze was with the OG. While it has always been a good experience, I recently purchased one of the Cam V4. I am impressed with the clarity and excellent night vision. So much so, I wish I had opted for Cam V4 on the 5 original cameras. The OG is great, but the new one is considerably better. I have always been able to resolve any issues or questions that I have had in regard to the installation and operation of the system. I have recommended the Wyze cameras to lots of friends and to the HOA community where I live.

My first didn't detect most motion and was replaced by Wyze. The second and third worked well until one didn't. I replaced it with a wired outdoor cam V4. I assumed that it was just a new version of the out door camera I have. It has clear vision and good motion detection but doesn't record video unless you have a subscription. That is the reason I dropped Blink. The software is the worst I have ever seen!

Wyze has made the most useful features locked behind a subscription model. You will need to pay them monthly to use these cameras to view recorded video. Some previous versions of this camera may be grandfathered into the old way, not requiring a subscription. I would recommend trying one of those and avoiding this one.

The Cam V4 is a decent camera, but when I record video clips they will not play on my newest Android Phone. The videos all show up in my Gallery, but I get a message that says "Can't Play This Video" which is extremely frustrating! I have to move the clips from my camera's SD Card manually to the Windows PC in order to play them. Never have this problem with the CamV3 as they will play in my Gallery just fine. I know that there must be a reason, but I Googled and have not found any answers. I use all of my cameras (six cameras on the network) with micro SD cards, and do not use the subscription services that store to the cloud due to the extra cost those entail. I also have several old Cam V3's on the same network, but I like the Cam V3's better because when I take videos from the V3's the MP4 videos play fine on my Android Cell Phone. My Cell is a new Nokia, which uses the latest Version of Android, so why will it play the MP4's when taken with the CamV3 and yet not play the ones that I take off the CamV4's???

TL;DR - fine product if its half off and you don't want to ever actually set it up (scarecrow mode), but otherwise look elsewhere This camera is advertised as “Works with Google Home,” but in practice it does not function as expected. While the Wyze account can be linked to Google Home, the live video feed on Google Home / Nest Hub gets stuck indefinitely buffering and never displays video. This appears to be a widespread, long-standing issue with Wyze's Google Home integration, not a setup error. In addition, the app experience aggressively pushes paid subscriptions. While the camera technically works without a subscription, functionality is very limited unless you pay monthly. Features most buyers reasonably expect (useful event history, smart detection, meaningful alerts) are gated behind recurring fees. At the normal ~$45 price, this is unacceptable. The product is only tolerable when deeply discounted and used strictly inside the Wyze app, with no expectation of real Google Home integration. If you are buying this for Google Home / Nest Hub use, or to avoid subscriptions, do not rely on the product description.
