(2 pack) Kidde 10-Year Sealed Lithium Battery-Operated Combination Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector

I used only Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in rental properties for 30 years. I had two bad experiences with the other well known brand, then switched to Kidde after seeing they're top rated in a national consumer magazine. I've never had a bad experience with Kidde detectors. The 10 year lithium battery models save money in the long run and a chore every October.

I love the item and that it will last us 10 years. Hate that something that is needed for everyone costs that much, especially when you have 4 floors and need everything covered.

They seem to be good items. I installed quickly with no issues tested and they seemed to be functioning, but only time will tell if they last the full 10 years. There were a lot of good reviews that i looked at before purchasing. The 10 warranty, I'm not certain it exists, couldn't find on their website. You must keep receipts and have Manufacture date, date installed, which may be 2 to 10 months different. I know that first alert had a 7 year warranty and they honored it.

I don't like you have a smoke detector using a sealed lithium battery and lithium batteries can start fires so if IT starts the fire the detector is shot and I couldn't find an old fashioned 9volt. Its STUPID to use a fire hazard.. even marked on it.. as fore prevention

I had this for less than two months before it started going off for no reason and had to be forced to shut down. Middle of the night it started going off, no signs of anything, fire department came and checked the whole house for fire or carbon monoxide, gave an all clear. Even when it was taken outdoors it was still going off. So less than two months after buying it I had to spend more money and buy another alarm.

Directions not clear for men who tried to install. I wasted 115.00 because they deactivated and could not be reactivated.

Purchased a two pack of these and installed them in October 2025 we've had a couple issues of them going off for no reason and then today one in the office would not stop going off. We checked multiple times of course there was no fire. And the second one went to go get the check in the office and we realized there was no green light blinking. We reset both of them neither one have any lights blinking at all. They are defective and I would like my money back.
