I used only Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in rental properties for 30 years. I had two bad experiences with the other well known brand, then switched to Kidde after seeing they're top rated in a national consumer magazine. I've never had a bad experience with Kidde detectors. The 10 year lithium battery models save money in the long run and a chore every October.
They seem like a high quality smoke and carbon dioxide detector. We ordered 4 of them and they were easy to install. Tested them and seem to be in good working condition. Helps bring peace to my mind.
Can't speak for its effectiveness, thankfully. But installation and set up was very easy. Easy to test
I love the item and that it will last us 10 years. Hate that something that is needed for everyone costs that much, especially when you have 4 floors and need everything covered.
it's maintenance free with internal batteries and detect both carbon monoxide and smoke with a 5 year guarantee
super easy to install, no wires and if the built in battery last 10 years like they claim with no chirping, well worth the money
I purchased the wrong product and am in the process of returning it
I don't like you have a smoke detector using a sealed lithium battery and lithium batteries can start fires so if IT starts the fire the detector is shot and I couldn't find an old fashioned 9volt. Its STUPID to use a fire hazard.. even marked on it.. as fore prevention
I had this for less than two months before it started going off for no reason and had to be forced to shut down. Middle of the night it started going off, no signs of anything, fire department came and checked the whole house for fire or carbon monoxide, gave an all clear. Even when it was taken outdoors it was still going off. So less than two months after buying it I had to spend more money and buy another alarm.
Directions not clear for men who tried to install. I wasted 115.00 because they deactivated and could not be reactivated.
