i love canned foods, though unhealthy but there's a certain comfort food in our household. This one though, is like an oversized vienna sausage, lol. And i love it! They honestly should make a vienna sausage where you can slice them up. And this one will definitely do!
I enjoy this friend as well as any national brand. and the cost is a third less oftentimes more than that. the taste the texture the quality of the meat is as good as any national brand I will always pick this over national brand if I can get it. I just wish there were some of the added flavors that some of the national brands provide. but as a straight up match this is as good as it gets. thank you Walmart.
I used to eat spam 40 years ago and have tried it every now and again over the years… I saw this “chicken spam” in great value brand and decided to try it. I am so glad I did!! I bought it intending to fry it with eggs, but decided to cut it up for “meat” in my salad and it was absolutely delicious!! First of all, it didn't have the “slime” that I expected to wash off, which was a great surprise! It doesn't have any of the “fat” content that I was used to and it has a very good taste!! I just cut it in cubes and added it to my salad. I will still fry a couple slices with my eggs and I'm sure I'm gonna love it that way too! This will definitely now be a staple in my pantry always! Thank you for ANOTHER great “great value” product!! It's better quality than name brand and obviously much cheaper!! I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of spam!!
eat this about once a week. I have to share w my 4 cats and 3 dogs. So its not too bad on the fat content since We eat it in moderation. Tastes danged good!
Really tasty chicken product. Like SPAM but made with chicken! Fully cooked, long shelf life. Slice it or chop it for any recipe that calls for chicken. I like to slice it and fry it to make sandwiches.
I liked this as much as the ham/pork version. But, it doesn't leave you with the fatty aftertaste that is common with those varieties, because it has less fat overall.
I took chance and ordered 2 cases of the Great Value spam because it was on sale. The shipment arrive today, and I fried some up. The fake spam has a burnt plastic smell. I could not finish a slice. I will donate the unopened cans to the food bank. I do not know who at Walmart thought is was a good idea to place Walmart's reputation on this product. It is the most DISGUSTING thing I have eaten in my life.
The great value spam is a no go !! This honestly is the worst tasting item I have ever tried !! I remember when I was younger , my mom used to cook spam and it would brown on both sides !! This spam does not brown and it's very salty !! Please don't waste your money buying this item !! I am All for GREAT VALUE , but this one isn't worth it ! I wouldn't feed this to an animal !!! I will not purchase this again !!
This was ordered by mistake by me. It was my own inability to read the label correctly, so it's not Walmart's fault at all it's my own, but that stuff is nasty.
Can was bugged. Top of meat discolored. Was again afraid to eat it. Tried these 6 months ago. They were bugged cans also. A year or more ago there were fine and actually were decent tasting, not bulging cans.
