4M KidzLabs Crystal Mining Kit

This was a Christmas gift and the kid loves it gems are nice and activity is fun and it is a learning thing

Kids love it.

My kids loved this. This was a great science experiment here at the house. All three of my kids were able to work on mining out the rocks (including my 5yr, 13 yr, and 15 yr old). They worked together to get the rocks mined out. What I loved: how much they learned, how they worked together, and how much time it took for them to dig out all the rocks/crystals. Cons: there are only enough tools in the box for one kid or "miner." We used other kitchen tools for my older kids to help out. They are also digging in clay/fine sand so it makes a huge mess. In fact it resembles a block of cream cheese when they start. Be prepared!

This KidzLabs Crystal Mining set is so much fun. You get to actually use tools and excavate real crystals. All the tools are included that are needed. The crystals are of high quality and a decent size, there is even a pouch to store them for later use. I suggest that the plaster block containing the crystals be excavated on a hard surface with a newspaper underneath for easy cleanup. It is so fun to do something hands on with a loved one, the world is so disconnected today. So if you are wanting to create memories with a loved one that will last a lifetime, give this set a try.

My grandson loves it

My daughter had fun excavating these beautiful crystals with this 4M KidzLabs Crystal Mining Kit. It did take about an hour to find the first one and I helped her when she got a bit tired. We used the tools that this kit comes with and they work well to scrape and dig. We were careful to not get the plaster on our clothes as the instructions say it could stain. We also tossed the plaster powder in the trash as the instructions state to not pour down the sink. The kit contains 8 crystals and actually my daughter got 9 so that was a nice surprise. The crystals are different sizes and most of ours are large. The kit comes with a nice draw string pouch to store the crystals in and they barely fit since my daughter got large crystals and the extra one. It's a fun kit for kids just have patience but to speed things up you can help your child dig so the process is faster.

I enjoyed doing this with my boys, digging for the gems and then trying to identify them. It was a little on the messy side but what's fun without mess. It was easy for my 8 year old to do but my 4 year old needed just a little help. It was a fun kit and would get one again.

This is a great toy that I received through Walmart Spark reviewer. Kids can spend hours digging through the rock. My grandson who is autistic finds it very relaxing but also loved that my other grandchildren wanted to help. It is a great way to keep kids busy. There are 8 crystals inside. It comes with a little pouch for storage, once you get the crystals out. It also comes with instructions, a digging tool, a brush, magnifier, and a display case with a cover.

This was a fun project, but definitely takes some time to do. The gems are in a block of plaster and breaking it up does take some work. The tools they gave are ok, not perfect for the task. Gems were nice, as well as the holder they gave you for them.

I watched my daughter do this Crystal Mining kit with my grandson- "As a 35yr old, this took 30mins! I can see why it said it could take days. I attempted the lot with my newly 5 year old. There is no way he would have stuck with it long enough to get more than one gem stone out. Thankfully he had done something similar where the instructions said to make it wet with water, that helped a ton and was the only way I completed it for him so ‘fast'. A good amount of effort went in. Displaying the gems in the provided cubes was cute. The box said there was 8 stones, but we kept going and found 13! I wouldn't recommend for a 5-6 year old as it was pretty messy." I have to say tho that my grandson enjoyed helping to mine out the gems and he loved handling them, looking at them, learning their names, matching them up to the provided pictures\description chart, and showing & describing them to me using the included magnifying glass.
