my A1c crept up a little bit but my doctor wasn't too worried. (6.3 to 6.5). I started using a CGM and what a huge eye opener that was. after 2 months of CGM, I ran the A1C and it turns out my A1C is now 5.9! I'm going back to the doctor in May and can't wait to see what he says. The only thing disappointing is that I bought a 4 test kit but it expires in October 2026. every 3 months means it should last a year and it won't last until Mar 2027. Next time I'll but a 2 test kit because I get it done at the doctor 2 times per year.

Just read and follow instructions. Although your Dr will still want to do their own testing. I use it just as a gauge as to how well I.m doing for my health.

May 13, 2020 First time doing this test and did not want to go to doctors office or lab during the corona virus. Purchased a 4 pack NOW A1C test strips. Read directions carefully went on UTUBE for NOW A1C to make sure I was doing it correctly. Easy. No problem. Been working very hard on my diabetes management during this epidemic and got my best reading ever!! 5.7!!! It is very encouraging.

Easy to use, reliable results.

Charles April 19, 2020

I purchased this because I can't get to the Doctor's Office for my 6-month checkup at this time. I found the kit easy to use, but you do need to be careful to follow the directions precisely. The results were within the range I would expect, given my trend of blood glucose results by finger stick. It would be nice to verify it with a lab drawn sample, but I'm satisfied that this reported an accurate result. I will use the remaining tests over the next year at appropriate intervals.

A1c home test

It worked as expected and test results were same as at my lab. Ask your primary care physician if it is right for you.

Pros and Cons

Jim November 6, 2025

Reasonable price for X4 tests. Some manufacturers offer X2 tests at a lower (but not half) the price. You need to factor in the expiration date of the products and how often you want to test to make your decision. I went with this. Home testing is cumbersome and, perhaps, is not as accurate as professional lab testing, but it's a good check.

I am a 70yr old female and this was my first time testing. I found the proceedure easy to follow. I did go to the website 1st as suggested to watch the video. it explained the steps in a clear way, easy to follow. i would definitely recommend this product. There was a delay in the product arriving on time but it was resolved quickly.

Poor Value - Product "Use By" Date Not Reasonable

D June 14, 2026

* Extremely poor value. Purchased on June 12, 2026 and each of the 4 tests in the kit expire on August 15, 2026. * Therefore, 3 of the 4 tests are worthless when monitoring A1C as outlined by American Diabetes Association, which per Google recommends testing A1C once every 3 months for those monitoring changes for treatment or trying to glycemic goals goal. * All companies selling these test kits should clearly state and include a description of how long the buyer can expect the tests to be usable before they expire and need to be thrown away.*

Tossed in trash

Dwayne October 17, 2025

Went through 3 tests. All came back with error messages that were not even on the troubleshooting list. Of course, unreturnable. Tossed in trash where they belong.
