AcuRite Digital Weather Forecaster with Indoor/Outdoor Temperature, Humidity, Date, and Time (01201M)

THIS IS A GREAT OUT/IN THERMOMETER, BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT IT ON THE WALL AT A PERFECT VERTICAL ANGLE TO SEE THE BRIGHT SCREEN; OTHERWISE, IT IS OFF-COLOR, DIM, AND HARDER TO SEE. IT CAN BE DONE, BUT IT'S TOO MUCH WORK. I HAVE BOUGHT 2 DIFFERENT BRANDS, AND THEY ARE NEW DESIGNS, AND BOTH HAVE THE SAME VIEWING PROBLEM. WORK GREAT BUT CAN BE DIFFICULT TO SEE.

Works great once I registered it with Acurite and emailed them for some troubleshooting issues. The whole piece locked up after about 45min. Ended up having to "hard reset" it per Acurite instructions, which I'm surmising may have been a consequence of the shipping. Either way once I followed their directions to "hard reset" it. The piece works great and I absolutely would recommend it to a friend

Very good price and value for a home weather station. The display is larger than I expected. Note that the 2 models (01121M and 01201M) are similar but have different features. eg no atomic clock on the 01201M. (Thank you Acurite for listening and correcting the product description for others although I was duped). Not really a color display. The colors are just background for a clear LCD panel. LCD is viewable from all angles except from below (foiled my original plan of placing it on top of the fridge). The backlight is too bright for a bedroom in my opinion but can be turned off and has several brightness settings. Seems to be fairly accurate but have nothing to compare the readings against. I can think of several features that would be nice to have ... but I dont expect at this great price point.

Great price. A little difficult to learn how to use takes awhile. I still have two subs. They state it would go to one once it calabrates itself. Three days and has not done so yet.

Love it! My wife's parents bought one in 1992 and it continued to work … bought this one as a replacement. Easy to set up and accurate, as always. Thank you!

Great display. It had all the information I wanted. Pretty easy to set up. Had to use the manual mode for the pressure reading, but that all depends on the altitude where you live.if you want it to be accurate. No Problems at all. Install with the sensor. The proper batteries for your temperature conditions, put it in a proper setting and you're ready to go. I'm pretty happy with it.

It's easy to set up the date and time, just follow the directions. The readout needs 110 volt outlet to operate. The remote sensing device is battery operated. I have owned this model in the past and my only complaint concerns the remote sensor. After a couple of years it fails and won't transmit data to the readout. New batteries didn't help. Other than that the unit looks good and is easy to see the readout. It is accurate.

This device is a little slow (by a few minutes) with getting accurate data, but it does give accurate data when it catches up.

I returned the item to local Walmart on March 28, 2025 and still haven't seen a refund recorded on my credit card (despite having contacted customer service and being assured that a credit would be sent)! It is now 7-16-2025! I'd like my refund! Thank you!

background is much to light,I have to pick it up and hold to see the numbers .Save your money!!!!!!!!!!
