AcuRite Indoor and Outdoor Thermometer with Temperature and Clock; Battery-Powered, Plastic (02059)

Have bought these before, and went searching for another one...I had my other one for a lot of years and liked it very well, and I purchased this one. I like it because it is very readable and they have been very reliable for me too.

Out of the package, this indoor/outdoor thermometer was easy to set up. While it uses standard AA and AAA batteries, I used Energizer lithium AAs for the transmitter unit. This should make it last a longer time as well as help it withstand temperature extremes. This is pretty much a no frills unit, displaying only time and temperature. Time is manually set and is easily set. Temperature display is easy to read, although it isn't backlit. Would be perfect if it came with batteries, but it doesn't.

Replaced a similar model that lasted over 15 years. This one is built just as well and should last. Quality product. Accurate and easy to set up. Nice display you can see from across a room.

Had this basic unit for a few weeks. works well with no issues. No backlit display, need light on to see at night but its not a feature on this model so no big deal. if your looking for a good basic indoor outdoor thermometer this will fit the bill. i use it to gage how to dress before taking my dogy out to potty. would work great for those school or work mornings also.

The indoor/outdoor temp clock I'd had for 18 yrs. finally bit the dust recently. I read the reviews of this Accu Rite indoor/outdoor temp clock and I'm glad I did. I like that the temp is at the top and displays in big numbers. The temperature readings have been accurate. In addition to being very well-made, the silver trim around the black of the clock really adds to its appearance, very attractive. I definitely recommend this great little clock!

I had a similar one made by Acu rite 15 years ago %26 its still going strong. The price has increased considerably. But hasn't everything? Overall a good product. 👍

I bought one of these for myself and I also bought a couple for my family members . It is well worth the money. However, I wish it had a light on it to see the temperatures when the light is off in the TV room.

About as accurate as guessing. I see 15 degree temp differences and it is slow to pick up temperature changes. I think it polls every 60 seconds and set up is a bit awkward.

With batteries, both units turned on. The base unit would never pick up the sensor from the "outdoor" unit, even side by side in over 24 hours. You could tell the base unit was searching different signals (A,B,C), but it was never able to pick any signals up. So the clock worked and the indoor temperature worked on the base unit, but it never picked up signals from the outdoor unit.

the sensor doesn’t connect or even show battery lever. nothing. i know the battery is good because they're brand new and the red light flashes. ill be returning it.
