AcuRite Color Forecaster with Temperature and Humidity Gauge, LCD Display, includes Outdoor Weather Sensor (00503)

We have 2 other black %26 white monitors . The sensor units went out on them so we bought the color monitor and we now have three monitors in different places . The sensor units last maybe 5 years . Being able to check actual outdoor temp before I go outside to travel to work is a big help . We are well pleased with this item .

I have had this for several months now and have not had any issues with it. The sensor is about a hundred feet away in line-of-sight through a window. It has not lost the signal. I like the easy to read and colorful display. The self-adjusting clock for daylight savings time is a plus.

I like that it doesnt have to run on wifi. The strange thing was where to plug the cord into the unit. I had to email AcuRite. Totally could not see where the power adapter was supposed to go into. They answered the next day.

My device was easy to set up. I love that I can see the outside temperature before stepping outside. Overall a great buy. I am well satisfied with it.

Love it it was so easy to set up. You can adjust the brightness. You can sit it or you can hang it on the wall. I really like it. I've had others in the past, but this one exceeds the others a lot.

This may be my fault, but I did not notice that the display is a corded product when I ordered it. I had to buy a power strip to accommodate another electronic device.

The temperature readout is not real accurate and the barometer also tends to remain at same level all the time. I have sensor in a location that prevents outside contamination from sunlight or weather. Tried recalibrating but did not help. The screen readout fades with even the slightest viewing angle. You have to be looking directly at screen.

When I first put the batteries in, it worked for less than an hour. I even tried keeping them only 5 ft apart on a table just in case the distance was an issue. It would not stay linked to the outdoor sensor. It took almost 2 hours to sync with outdoor sensor before it worked. I even tried a different set of new batteries, to no avail. I tried multiple different things based on the instructions and internet recommendations and again it worked for less than an hour and then stopped. When it did work, it has to be at a certain angle to read the numbers. Also, this needs to be plugged in which I didn't realize when I bought it because it needed batteries. That part is my fault that I didn't read the fine print. I do not recommend this product.

It was easy to follow the instruction to install, also easy to read. HOWEVER, even though I followed the instructions to keep it out of the weather but still get an actuate temp. The outside thermometer stopped working 6 months and 15 days after purchase. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I returned it because I wanted a wireless one %26 it says wireless in the description %26 on the package but when I went to set it up I found that only the outside sensor is wireless :( the inside recommends using the plugin adapter in order for it to show the display properly so batteries weren't recommended. I was really aggravated because it was a gift that I took 400 miles before finding out the problem. While there I ordered a different one that I am pleased with. The description needs to CLEARLY say it's really only 1/2 wireless! Finding a place to plug it in keeps it from being portable enough.
