Arlo Essential Pan Tilt Security Camera 2K (2025 Release) - Wired Plug-In Power Outdoor Camera, 1-Cam

I've been using Arlo cameras for a few years. I have a solar outdoor cam, a couple of the 2nd Gen wireless and the 3rd Gen wireless outdoor cameras. I bought wired 360° pan %26 tilt just to know one was always going with electricity and I LOVE this one! The sound activation feature and clarity it has is great. I switched to Arlo from another company and it was the best choice. Yes, I choose to utilize the monthly subscription but it's $12 and I have 6 cameras. Definitely worth it! The app always works, the picture quality is great and I feel safer having them protecting my home. You can choose which alerts you want or don't want to have sent to you. It differentiates between animals, people, motion, etc. It will allow you to create zones as well and you can select areas for notifications or areas of privacy. You can also choose not to have a text-like notification but still have the app and go the live feed of the camera to check in. The night mode has a very clear image. It allows you to decide how long to record when the camera is activated. You're truly are in control of so many features giving you what you hoped when buying. I'm just a customer! Not a paid trial or sponsorship. This is a legit review because I look for these when shopping, so I hope this may helps others. (I'm actually thinking about buying a few more wired ones so I don't have to charge the wireless anymore)

Great value for the money. Awesome features. I'll probably replace all the ones I can get power to. Would be great if it could run off a solar panel. Attaching the camera to the base was kind of tricky the first time. Installation diagram would be helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first security camera and I am very impressed. Setting up and mounting is very quick and easy. I have it up on the side of the wall by my front door. It can pan up and down and spin side to side to cover pretty much most of my home. I love that it can detect when people, packages, objects and movement is around and even has a light when dark. Using it with the app is a seamless and very enjoyable experience.

High quality camera with advanced features... for an insanely low price all things considered. Quality materials, fantastic real 2K camera image quality and awesome motion tracking (the camera moves when motion is detected). Simple app, clear pricing. Really the only issue was lack of written installation instructions. Took me a few minutes to realize they were hidden in the app

I've been using the Arlo Essential Pan Tilt Outdoor Security Camera for a while, and overall the hardware quality is very good. The 2K video resolution is sharp and clear, both during the day and at night. Night vision works well, and the pan and tilt feature allows you to cover a wide area, which is very convenient for outdoor monitoring. The installation itself is simple, and the camera looks modern and well made. Motion alerts are accurate, and the camera tracks movement smoothly. However, the biggest downside for me is the Arlo app subscription. Without a paid plan, many key features are limited, and it's almost impossible to fully use the camera as intended. I don't like that the product depends so heavily on a monthly subscription, especially after paying for the cameras themselves. Overall, great camera quality and performance, but the required paid app subscription is a significant drawback.

During set-up, the camera stopped responding and refuses to power up again. This is a powered camera by plugging into a 110v outlet. I tried the unplug, wait, retry without success. Verified power at the source by plugging in another item.

I did not get this my home has been burglars three times since leaving on vacation and not receiving this which was to be set up before I left
