Wonderful that a nice heavy stainless version of my indispensable rice cooker is fubally available ! Yes, it sticks some on the bottom, but guers what ? So does the non-stick !! With the stainless at least it will last forever and there are no microplastics in your food !!
This Aroma 14 cup rice cooker was purchased by me as a gift for my son. He had an old rice cooker with aluminum . I read somewhere that cooking with aluminum cookware is unhealthy for one's brain specifically. I purchased this Aroma 14 cup stainless steel as a safe cooker. My son is very pleased with the size and quality of the cooker.
Easy to clean interior but spits a lot of water, even when not at maximum capacity. Place a cloth on the counter near the lid’s air hole to make cleanup easier
I like that I can put the lid in the dishwasher. There is a little rice stuck to bottom of the stainless steel pot but I would not want a non-stick (PFAS) pot. Rice comes off easily with soaking.
Rice is our staple food every meal so" Rice Cooker" is very important to me and my family. I've been looking for 3 years this kind of Rice Cooker with Stainless Steel I am glad I found it here in Walmart.com looking and looking. For healthy purposes. The product is really nice but it's not a 14 cup Rice Cooker it's 7 cups. But I am still happy with it, it's a little mess when it's boiling but I put a clean towel cloth at the bottom so that I will not clean anymore. So far so very good.I will buy again for reserve purposes. Thanks Walmart!
Makes excellent rice. However, you need to know how to properly use it. First off, it only makes a maximum of seven of 3/4 cups of uncooked rice. Second, when you make rice you need to throughly rinse it three times with cold tap water and drain it. (Then it wont splatter or be so sticky) Then put it in the cooker with the right amount of cold water. I took the precaution (to prevent any sticking) and lightly spray oiled the inner pot. When rice is done, dont touch it for 15 minutes. Now you have great rice. Side note: Wash inner rice pot well, as there is some factory residue (looks like machine oil) in the crevices of the pot, and dont be alarmed by the inital strange burning machine smell when you first use it. Thats normal with new appliances and goes away. It would be nice if they made a bigger one of these, but its big enough for us as we dont eat more than seven cups a meal. If I ever have guests over and need to make a huge amount of rice, I can use a large casserole dish and make oven baked rice. Google it.
Good design for a rice cooker with a lid that can be easily washed out (attached lid is not a good idea). Cooks evenly, great size for different grains, vent is good. No burn. Removable steel bowl is wonderful with no PFA concerns. The only thing is quality of steel bowl is a bit off otherwise it would be a five- star review.
Simple and easy to use. Stainless steel pot is nicely made and easy to clean. Works fine without any problem. Have to unplug the power right after the rice is cooked, so it won't burn if you leave it on.
I like the rice cooker, because is stainless Steel Surface. Cooks good the rice. But i expected a bigger size pot. You can cook only 3 cups of rice (24 oz) maximum. Impossible to cook more. I still recommend it. But do not expect big pot. It is small.
Year after year of buying non stick electric cookers made me wish for a stainless steel one that would last longer and my wish came true!!! I cooked in it only once so far but it turned out just like I expected it to be - GREAT! The rice might stick a bit to the cooking pot, especially if you leave it for long after its cooked (after all, its not non-stick) but if you stir it once or transfer as soon as its cooked, there is no sticking..I love this product! All parts of the cooker seem to be of good quality and I did not notice any damage in the product or packaging. Shipping was fast too! No more buying rice cookers every year; I hope this one lasts for a few years at least!
