AROMA® Professional 5Qt. Electric Wok, Easy to Clean, Black

Was pleased to be able to read several reviews before settling on this particular model. This wok is easy to use - just remember to follow the "oiling" directions before your first use. Especially glad to see how quickly the wok heats; even though there are no true temperature settings on the control dial I was able to guestimate pretty easily and familky favorite recipes have been cooked perfectly. The wok is easy to clean, although the first time my husband snapped off the stand on the bottom I thought he had mishandled it. Directions (which he had in his hand) did say that when taking the unti apart and reattaching it, there would be a loud snapping sound. They were right. Originally I thought that the 5 quart size would be small, but it is roomy, and the vented glass top is an added bonus that I am very glad to have. Looking forward to using this wok often.

Substantial weight and size for single to family sized meals (be aware, lid is quite large if storage is an issue). IMPORTANT TIP: Season pan COLD before first use - use cooking oil, rub into non-stick coating then wipe with soft paper towel. Call Aroma cust svc (in booklet) to correlate number settings to heat temperatures if you're particular about settings, I did. NOT necessary to cook on high heats with this wok as medium setting (#4 or 5 on dial) works great due to overall heat distribution and lower setting preserves non-stick coating. Love the tempura and steaming racks! Great value for the money and shipping was perfect!

I bought the Wok as a gift. My friend Loved it and cooked in it the very next day. She said it met all her expectations. It was a pick up item from my neighbor Walmart. It arrived in a very short period of time and I had the option of picking it up myself or have someone else pick it up with their ID. This was great. I have ordered several items from Walmart in the past and have always been extremely satisfied. The telephone reps. are polite and knowledgeable. I will continue to shop at Walmart because my experiences have only been great. PS: Durability was Average only because it has only been used once.

Heats up faster than a fry pan. Stir-fry's, have never been so easy and quick. Make sure you prep first. Recipes that come with Wok, really good! I was hoping that it came with a spatula rather than chopsticks. My opinion only. This would be a great Birthday or Christmas gift! Great way to eat healthy!

I have cooked two different stir fry's (Chicken Fried rice, Chicken Chow mein) and it did a perfect job.Yum,yum,yum. Very easy to clean and the heating temps came right up. Good product for the money. I would definately recommend this product to anyone. One thing needs to be changed, put temp settings instead of numbers. This would give a better idea as to what temp you're cooking at.

I can't rate durability since I've only used it once. The only thing that is mildly akward is the releasing of the base. The wok heats quickly and seemed to maintain an even heat. I'm very happy with my wok and look forward to years of healthy cooking.

We love this wok. We this Brand of Wok for 14 Yrs. worked great till the end, The heating hot plate under it gave out Pan in great condition no bottom though. This brand has upgraded and love this one too.

Ive had one of these for almost 10 years and have used it several times every week. The non-stick coating was finally coming off and I replaced the WOK with the same model. These are great for stir fry and Chinese rice.

I'm so pleased with my wok. It is so sturdy and really looks professional. I have been looking for one but never found one this good. The size is perfect too. Large enough to cook for 4-6 people. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
