I love that I can adjust how much I want to add (up to 20lbs) since each weight is one lb %26 there are multiple pockets for the individual weights. This vest is made out of a sturdy neoprene material . I'm fairly small, so the velcro waistband helps in that it's adjustable. The straps along the shoulder are also wide enough to evenly hold up the vest.
I like everything about the weighted vest. The price is very reasonable; I like that you can add/remove weight as you like. the shoulder straps are comfortable, and "waist" straps do hold very well. the vest includes a slot/pouch for your phone but it's a very tight fit. My phone would fall out often.
I like everything about this vest, it was much easier to put the weights in than some of the reviewers said. I really didn't like the appearance of the front right side that's got the headphones on it. I guess it's white reflective but it just looks bad and it's also too small for my phone to moto 5G so I spray painted it a satin black and it looks much better. they recommend you start out with 5% of your weight so a vest like this with the removable weights is ideal.
I don't write reviews, but this deserves one based on the comments about it being 'hard' to put the weights in. I'm a tiny woman with small, slim fingers and I was able to put the weights in. A little effort is required, and I suggest just squishing the corners of the weights in before pulling the top flap, and it fits perfectly. I've had this vest for a month and I love it and great value for money. 💯 recommend
i love this vest!! it has 20 1 lb little weights you can put in as many as you want. it straps down so its not flopping around while you do your workout. it has a pocket in the front that fits my phone...although im not sure it will fit a big one. mines a little smaller than some of the larger ones. i really like it and it was much less expensive than many more online....even used ones. i definitely would recommend it!!
works as advertised and it's an easy way to add weighs while doing light cardio. the only downside is putting the weights in. they come in 20 small pouches that you have to insert around the vest. This could take a while to do as it is difficult to put the weight cylinders in the vest
Used it for a Murph last weekend. It was a solid vest with solid one pound increments, but the only problem is the cellphone pouch is outdated by today's standards with phones like the iPhone 15 Plus (and beyond) out. If you want to find one that would fit your phone that big you are better off elsewhere. Otherwise it's pretty good so far, if you're looking for a good home gym vest that won't be over $50.
This fest is absolutely awesome for the price. The ability to adjust the weight from 0 to 20 pounds in 1 pound increments is awesome. A lot of the other best I looked at came in a small range and then you have to buy another vest so the fact that this best could work for both me and my husband and I can increase weight that small overtime is really exactly what I needed. I love that it goes over the head and it Velcro around the sides, which makes it really comfortable. It doesn't have shoulder pads, but I haven't needed that yet. Probably as you get higher and weight that might come more to play. The only thing I worry about long-term is the longevity of the material. It's a nice kind of messy fabric, but of course as you use Velcro Overtime, it just starts to all get fuzzy and a little degraded. But I would highly recommend and have recommended this best to anyone I meet who's interested in starting walking with a weighted vest.
For the price it's a good deal. Putting all of the 1 lbs little bags into the pouches is a bit of a chore. Once you put the vest on and tighten it everything feels secure. I plan on wearing a shirt under it. In the picture on the box the model is bare skin.
This vest was supposed to come with 20-1LB weights for you to add as you get stronger. I only received 10 of those 20 weights. Since April - I have been trying to get the remaining pieces of this purchase. Walmart customer support tells me I have to contact Athletic Works and Athletic Works refuses to respond to my 5 emails. I would prefer to not sent this vest back but only get the missing pieces and am getting NO HELP!
